Mon Sep 21 201515:01Ridnour expected to sit out 2015-16 season
Ridnour is expected to sit out the 2015-16 season, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.
The veteran was traded four times this offseason after spending last year with the Orlando Magic and posting career lows nearly across the board. The 34-year-old reportedly received considerable interest as a free agent, but it appears as though he'll step away from the league this season, though he has not officially announced his retirement. The decision not to do so would appear to leave the door open on a potential comeback at some point, and it's certainly not hard to imagine a contending team showing interest later in the season.

Ridnour was waived by the Raptors on Thursday.
Ridnour has certainly been the subject of a busy offseason, spending brief stints with Orlando, Memphis, Charlotte, Oklahoma City and most recently, Toronto. He'll now have to pass through waivers unclaimed before he's free to sign with the team of his choice.
Tue Jun 30 201510:49Ridnour has once again been traded
Ridnour has once again been traded, this time to the Raptors, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.
Ridnour has now been dealt four times in the last week, spending short stints as a member of the Magic, Grizzlies, Hornets, Thunder and now Raptors. Assuming he stays in Toronto, the veteran figures to step in as the second or third point guard behind Kyle Lowry, and he'll battle rookie Delon Wright for minutes. Ridnour remains a capable floor general and spot-up shooter, but he doesn't offer much from a fantasy perspective. In 47 games for Orlando last season, Ridnour averaged 4.0 points and 2.0 assists per game.
Thu Jun 25 201513:17Ridnour
Ridnour, along with a 2016 second-round draft pick, was traded to the Thunder for Jeremy Lamb on Thursday, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Ridnour averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 15 minutes for the Magic last season. The 34-year-old was traded from the Magic to the Grizzlies on Wednesday, and it's unclear whether or not he'll remain in Oklahoma City.
Thu Jun 25 201510:08Ridnour traded to Hornets for Matt Barnes on Thursday
Ridnour was traded to the Hornets for Matt Barnes on Thursday, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The Hornets may opt to waive Ridnour's non-guaranteed contract so the move may just be for cap relief. However, considering Brian Roberts is the lone ball-handler to back up Kemba Walker, it might make sense for Charlotte to hang on to Ridnour in case they can't upgrade that position by other means this offseason.

Ridnour was traded from the Magic to the Grizzlies on Wednesday in exchange for the rights to 2013 second-rounder Janis Timma, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Ridnour spent last season with the Magic, averaging just 4.0 points and 2.0 assists in a career-low 14.5 minutes per game. The 34-year-old has been one of the more serviceable backup point guards in the league over the last several seasons, and the Grizzlies will likely look to slot him in behind Mike Conley and Beno Udrih as the third point guard. Nick Calathes will be a restricted free agent this offseason, so Wednesday's move could perhaps be an indication that Memphis will move in another direction.

Ridnour ended the season averaging 4.0 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game.
Although Ridnour has one year left on his deal, the Magic can release him prior to the season without salary cap ramifications. The move would save the team 2.75 million dollars heading into the free agency period. Also, Ridnour hasn't ruled out the possibility of retirement, concluding his 12th season at the age of 34. Aside from shooting a sterling 53 percent on mid-range jumpers, Ridnour was a nonfactor in his first season with the Magic. In April, he missed three straight games to be with his wife for the birth of their fourth child. He lost playing time when Victor Oladipo returned from a facial surgery in November and yielded his job as primary backup point guard to Willie Green in late January.

Ridnour said Thursday that he has not decided whether he'll continue playing, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour is under contract for next season, but it sounds as though he's mulling retirement. The Oregon product is only 34, but he's dealt with injuries over the past two seasons and has not been a part of winning organizations. He'll likely take a few weeks to decide whether or not he'll return to Orlando for what would conceivably be his final season.
Mon Apr 13 201518:39Ridnour (personal) will not play Monday against Heat
Ridnour (personal) will not play Monday against the Heat, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour missed three games earlier in the month after his wife gave birth to the couple's child. He was active for both Friday and Saturday's games but did not see the court. It's unclear why he's away from the team again, but he'll remain out Monday and could miss the season finale as well.

Ridnour (paternity) was active for Friday's game against the Magic but wasn't inserted into the action.
Ridnour missed a few games on paternity leave but appears to be available for the last few contests on the schedule. However, he's not guaranteed any playing time, as evidenced by Friday's inability to get on the court.

Ridnour will return to action Friday after missing three games while on paternity leave, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour will return as the primary backup point guard, though his role has not been large enough this season to yield consistent fantasy production.

Ridnour (paternity) was present at shootaround Friday and is expected to play against the Raptors, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour has missed the last three games after his wife gave birth to a child over the weekend. Expect him back in his usual backup point guard role behind Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo.
Wed Apr 8 201517:45Ridnour (paternity) will not play Wednesday
Ridnour (paternity) will not play Wednesday, John Denton of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour will miss his third straight game as he continues to remain away from the team following the birth of his child over the weekend. With Willie Green also out, Evan Fournier (hip) should pick up a few extra minutes, while Elfrid Payton could also see an increased workload.

Ridnour isn't with the Magic on their road trip due to the expected birth of a child, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour's absence will likely extend through the two weekend games, which would leave Wednesday against the Bulls as the probable date to rejoin the lineup. If he were to return for Saturday's contest, he should receive an update to indicate as such, but doubtful is probably the best descriptor for him at this point.

Ridnour returned from a hamstring injury Tuesday, coming off the bench to play 20 minutes. He was held scoreless on five shots, and had three rebounds and three assists.
Ridnour had missed three games with the injury, but Tuesday's game marked the most minutes he's played since Jan. 9. Still, Ridnour isn't much use for fantasy. He generally scores in the single figures and is now 0-for-9 in March.

Ridnour (hamstring) went through a full practice without issue Monday and is considered probable to play Tuesday versus the Pacers, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour has been sidelined three games with a hamstring injury, but even when healthy he doesn't provide much, from a fantasy perspective. Ridnour averaged only 2.7 points and 1.2 assists in 13.0 minutes during the month of February.
Fri Mar 6 201517:53Ridnour (hamstring) will not play Friday against Kings
Ridnour (hamstring) will not play Friday against the Kings, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour is slated to sit out another game because of his hamstring strain, which leaves the Magic a bit thin at the point guard position. Additionally, since teammate Willie Green has also been ruled out against the Kings, starting shooting guard Victor Oladipo could see some point guard duties when Elfrid Payton needs to rest Friday. That situation would likely leave Ben Gordon to play the two-spot, creating the three-man rotation for the Magic's backcourt positions.
Fri Mar 6 201510:48Ridnour (hamstring) uncertain to play Friday against Kings
Ridnour (hamstring) is uncertain to play Friday against the Kings, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Ridnour missed the Magic's previous game with the hamstring issue, and unless he demonstrates progress during Friday's shootaround, he'll be liable to sit out another contest. Even if he's deemed active, Ridnour rarely sees the court as the backup point guard on a rebuilding Magic squad. He's averaging a career-low 13.7 minutes per game.
Wed Mar 4 201517:37Ridnour (hamstring) will not play Wednesday against Suns
Ridnour (hamstring) will not play Wednesday against the Suns, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
After sitting out Tuesday's practice, Ridnour will remain on the sideline Wednesday as he battles a minor hamstring issue. With Evan Fournier also out, Willie Green and Ben Gordon figure to pick up a few extra minutes off the bench, while Elfrid Payton could also see increased run.
Wed Mar 4 201511:31Ridnour (hamstring) did not practice Tuesday
Ridnour (hamstring) did not practice Tuesday, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports.
The Magic haven't said much about Ridnour's condition, but it seems quite possible he could sit out Wednesday's game against the Suns. If that's the case, Elfrid Payton could pick up a few extra minutes, though Ridnour hasn't played a significant role this season.
