Ridnour is expected to sit out the 2015-16 season, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports.

The veteran was traded four times this offseason after spending last year with the Orlando Magic and posting career lows nearly across the board. The 34-year-old reportedly received considerable interest as a free agent, but it appears as though he'll step away from the league this season, though he has not officially announced his retirement. The decision not to do so would appear to leave the door open on a potential comeback at some point, and it's certainly not hard to imagine a contending team showing interest later in the season.

Ridnour was waived by the Raptors on Thursday.

Ridnour has certainly been the subject of a busy offseason, spending brief stints with Orlando, Memphis, Charlotte, Oklahoma City and most recently, Toronto. He'll now have to pass through waivers unclaimed before he's free to sign with the team of his choice.

Ridnour has once again been traded, this time to the Raptors, Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman reports.

Ridnour has now been dealt four times in the last week, spending short stints as a member of the Magic, Grizzlies, Hornets, Thunder and now Raptors. Assuming he stays in Toronto, the veteran figures to step in as the second or third point guard behind Kyle Lowry, and he'll battle rookie Delon Wright for minutes. Ridnour remains a capable floor general and spot-up shooter, but he doesn't offer much from a fantasy perspective. In 47 games for Orlando last season, Ridnour averaged 4.0 points and 2.0 assists per game.

Ridnour, along with a 2016 second-round draft pick, was traded to the Thunder for Jeremy Lamb on Thursday, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Ridnour averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 15 minutes for the Magic last season. The 34-year-old was traded from the Magic to the Grizzlies on Wednesday, and it's unclear whether or not he'll remain in Oklahoma City.

The Hornets may opt to waive Ridnour's non-guaranteed contract so the move may just be for cap relief. However, considering Brian Roberts is the lone ball-handler to back up Kemba Walker, it might make sense for Charlotte to hang on to Ridnour in case they can't upgrade that position by other means this offseason.

Ridnour was traded from the Magic to the Grizzlies on Wednesday in exchange for the rights to 2013 second-rounder Janis Timma, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Ridnour spent last season with the Magic, averaging just 4.0 points and 2.0 assists in a career-low 14.5 minutes per game. The 34-year-old has been one of the more serviceable backup point guards in the league over the last several seasons, and the Grizzlies will likely look to slot him in behind Mike Conley and Beno Udrih as the third point guard. Nick Calathes will be a restricted free agent this offseason, so Wednesday's move could perhaps be an indication that Memphis will move in another direction.

Ridnour ended the season averaging 4.0 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.4 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game.

Although Ridnour has one year left on his deal, the Magic can release him prior to the season without salary cap ramifications. The move would save the team 2.75 million dollars heading into the free agency period. Also, Ridnour hasn't ruled out the possibility of retirement, concluding his 12th season at the age of 34. Aside from shooting a sterling 53 percent on mid-range jumpers, Ridnour was a nonfactor in his first season with the Magic. In April, he missed three straight games to be with his wife for the birth of their fourth child. He lost playing time when Victor Oladipo returned from a facial surgery in November and yielded his job as primary backup point guard to Willie Green in late January.
