Sun Sep 1911:04Rafael Devers Scores Three Runs Saturday
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers scored three runs in Saturday's 9-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles, going 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI. This is Devers' second time scoring three runs in a game this season, and it's also his first multi-hit game since September 6. Devers has just four extra-base hits in 59 September at-bats, but with 34 homers, 36 doubles and one triple on the year, he should be back to his slugging ways soon, and fantasy managers can proceed with confidence.

Tue Sep 1412:23Rafael Devers Breaks Extra-Base Drought With Homer
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers hit his 34th home run of the season Monday night, a solo shot off Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald. It was his only hit in four at-bats. He also struck out twice, giving him 18 whiffs in his last 12 games. This also breaks a seven-game extra-base drought for the slugger. There's been some boom and bust for Devers lately, but with a .273/.350/.536 slash line in 524 at-bats this season, there's no way he's coming out of fantasy lineups.

Sun Sep 1200:19Rafael Devers Strikes Out Three Times Saturday
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers endured a frustrating game Saturday, going 1-for-4 with a walk, a run, and an RBI with three strikeouts. He also made a costly error in the field which led to three unearned runs. Devers has gone six games without an extra-base hit, striking out in eight of his 19 at-bats during that span. Fantasy managers aren't going to bench Devers in any circumstance outside of injury, however, so there's little to do but hope he rights the ship.

Sun Aug 2922:18Rafael Devers Hits Two Homers Against Cleveland
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers slugged two more homers Sunday, going 2-for-5 against Cleveland. He's now up to 32 long balls on the year, which ties him for his career high with the 2019 season. Devers is now slashing .300/.382/.667 over his last seven games, and he has a .908 OPS for the year. With 96 RBI and 82 runs scored, he's been an excellent contributor for fantasy managers all season and shows no signs of slowing down.

Fri Aug 2712:08Rafael Devers Homers And Steals A Base Thursday
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers had a strong game Thursday night, going 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a stolen base in a 12-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins. It's Devers' first home run since August 14. He now has 30 on the year. Entering Thursday, Devers had just three hits in his last 27 at-bats, so fantasy managers will be hoping he's starting to heat up again. He now has four steals in nine attempts this season, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from him in that department the rest of the way.

Tue Aug 2401:27Rafael Devers Breaks Out With Two-Hit Day
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers broke his hitless streak Monday, going 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored against the Texas Rangers. Devers had been hitless for three consecutive days coming into this one. The double, which drove in the game-tying run, came on an 0-2 count with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning. Devers isn't immune to cold stretches, but he's still slashing .277/.350/.549 with 29 home runs this season, making him a clear-cut top-two fantasy third baseman right now along with Jose Ramirez.

Sun Aug 2211:40Rafael Devers Hitless In Fourth Straight Game
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers, who went hitless for the fourth straight game on Saturday, is mired in a mini-slump. The 24-year-old All-Star, who went 0-for-4 against the Texas Rangers, is slashing .196/.305./392 over his last 15 games. The slugger, who is batting .275 with 29 home runs and 89 RBI this season, is sure to snap out of the funk. He's a fantasy stud in all formats and can be an ideal trade target for anyone needing power or an upgrade at the hot corner.

Sun Aug 1501:50Rafael Devers Hits 29th Homer
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers hits his 29th home run of the season Saturday as part of a 16-4 blowout of the last-place Baltimore Orioles. He also singled and walked in four plate appearances, driving in four runs and scoring another. Devers has produced all season, even through Boston's recent offensive struggles, but his fantasy ceiling only rises when the team gets going. Devers already has 75 runs and 89 RBI this year, and those numbers should continue to climb for fantasy managers going forward.

Wed Aug 1100:14Rafael Devers Homers Tuesday
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers hit his 28th homer of the season Tuesday, going 1-for-3 with a walk against the Tampa Bay Rays. The solo home run came off of starter Luis Patino in the second inning. It's his first homer since July 26, but he's still been as hot as ever with a .292/.414/.458 slash line in 24 at-bats over his last seven games. Devers leads all third basemen in home runs, and is a clear centerpiece player, both for Boston and fantasy managers.

Mon Aug 900:48Rafael Devers Scores Two Runs Against Blue Jays
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 with two runs scored against the Toronto Blue Jays Sunday. Devers has now scored 71 runs on the season to go with his 27 home runs, 82 RBI, and three steals. He's the top fantasy option at third base, despite producing just a .602 OPS over his last seven games and 26 plate appearances. There's no situation in which he shouldn't be a fantasy starter week in and week out.

Sat Jul 3100:36Rafael Devers Does Not Appear In Friday's Game
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (quad) did not appear in Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays, and has not played since leaving the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays. Alex Cora has downplayed the quadriceps issue as a minor one, but fantasy managers will not be relieved until he has returned to the lineup. Boston added Jonathan Arauz to the roster to start at third base Friday, but that does not mean Devers is sure to miss much time. Fantasy managers should stay tuned for updates.

Wed Jul 2822:21Rafael Devers Dealing With Quad Injury
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (quad) is dealing with a quadriceps injury, but the team hopes he'll be ready to return to action by Friday, according to Ian Browne of MLB.com. Devers exited Wednesday's game early with what was initially described as a potential hamstring issue, but now it appears that it's a problem with his quad. Regardless, the team seems to think it's a minor issue, so hopefully he'll be back in action on Friday. Consider him day-to-day for now, and keep an eye out for further updates on his condition as the week progresses.

Wed Jul 2821:38Rafael Devers Exits Wednesday’s Game 2 Early
Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers (hamstring) exited Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader early with an apparent hamstring injury. He went 4-for-7 with two doubles and an RBI in both games before leaving. The Red Sox third baseman gave a little rub on his right hamstring when he pulled into second base. The severity of Devers' injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Devers is having an incredible 2021 campaign, slashing .286/.357/.586 with 27 homers, 82 RBI, 67 runs scored, and three stolen bases over 99 games. Michael Chavis replaced Devers in Wednesday's game. Chavis would see an uptick in playing time if Devers were to miss any games. The 25-year-old is mainly an option in deep-league formats after hitting .195 with two home runs and six RBI across 30 games in 2021.
