Tue Mar 25 201413:32Andris Biedrins ruled out for Weds vs MEM
Andris Biedrins (shoulder) will miss Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies.
Biedrins has only played in six games all season, so this doesn't come as major fantasy news seeing as he wasn't playing even when he was healthy. There is no reason to own Biedrins in any leagues that don't award points for under-handed free throws, so fantasy owners can feel free to go about their day without paying much attention to this news.

Sun Mar 23 201413:05Andris Biedrins (shoulder) won't play Monday
Andris Biedrins (shoulder) will not play in Monday's game vs. the Pistons.
Biedrins is about as irrelevant as they come; he's played in just six games this season with his best effort coming in December with a seven rebound game. Unless you're a diehard GSW fan, you might not even know who Andris Biedrins is.

Fri Jan 10 201412:59Andris Biedrins will be available Friday
Andris Biedrins (flu) will be available Friday.
Biedrins may be available, but he won't get in the game unless Ty Corbin is in a real pinch. The former Warrior has made just six appearances all year in his first season with the Jazz.

Tue Jan 7 201421:19Andris Biedrins won't play vs. OKC
Andris Biedrins will not play vs. the Thunder on Tuesday due to flu-like symptoms.
He has not played in a game since Dec. 7 and the Jazz won't miss him. Biedrins actually can't decrease his season shooting of 16.7 percent from the line and has no value in fantasy leagues.

Andris Biedrins made his Jazz debut on Friday in a four-minute appearance.
Biedrins is damaged goods on the basketball floor until he proves otherwise and has no fantasy value.

Wed Nov 27 201310:59Andris Biedrins to practice on Wednesday
Andris Biedrins will practice on Wednesday for the first time since spraining his ankle in late September.
The 2-14 Jazz can use any help they can get, but Biedrins may not even crack the rotation if he's healthy. A fading veteran on a young team bound for the draft lottery is not a recipe for success.

Mon Oct 28 201316:12Andris Biedrins doubtful with ankle sprain
Jazz reserve center Andris Biedrins sprained his ankle in Monday's practice and is doubtful to play on Wednesday against the Rockets.
If you didn't know Biedrins was still in the league or with the Jazz, don't feel too bad. He'll see a very minimal role, even when healthy. This could mean a few more minutes for starter Enes Kanter, who has been a popular mid-round fantasy pick this year.

Mon Jul 22 201314:32Biedrins focused on 2013-14 season w/ Jazz
Andris Biedrins will not play for the Latvian national team this summer, preferring to get in shape for the 2013-14 season with the Jazz.
"[The] trade to the Jazz in the last year of my current contract has created new chances," wrote Biedrins. "That's why I've decided to return to the USA as early as the first half of August, so I can prepare for the season. Also, in this situation I didn't want to risk injuries." It's a great sign for the Jazz, who will be happy if he gives them a handful of points, rebounds and blocks in a backup role behind Enes Kanter.

Fri Jul 5 201316:25Jazz trade for 3 of GSW's expiring contracts
Jazz acquired C Andris Biedrins, SF Richard Jefferson and G/F Brandon Rush via a trade with the Warriors.
The Warriors needed to clear out cap space to sign Andre Iguodala, so they dumped this trio on the Jazz. In return, they'll receive a bunch of draft picks, including a 2014 first-rounder. Biedrins won't play much in Utah behind Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors, but his expiring $9 million contract is an asset. So is the $11.046 million from Jefferson and the $4 million from Rush that will come off the books in July of 2014.

Fri May 24 201309:10Andris Biedrins will exercise $9M option
To the surprise of nobody, Andris Biedrins will exercise his $9 million player option and remain with the Warriors for the 2013/14 season.
Biedrins couldn't get a third of that on the open market right now as a free agent, so this was the definition of a no-brainer decision. Biedrins' agent confirmed that he'll pick up the option, and the Warriors are now stuck with him for another season. Still just 27 years old, next season will be the final year of an awful six-year, $54 million deal.

Wed Apr 17 201308:51Andris Biedrins ruled out for Wednesday night
Andris Biedrins (back) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Blazers.
Biedrins didn't play against the Spurs on Monday, but you may have not even noticed unless you were watching the game. The Warriors should have amnestied Biedrins long ago, but we all remember the Charlie Bell saga all too well. Carl Landry could see big minutes with Andrew Bogut (ankle) questionable.

Mon Apr 15 201323:24Andris Biedrins out with back tightness
Andris Biedrins (lower back tightness) is not playing against the Spurs on Monday.
He hasn't been very good at all this year, playing just 9.3 minutes per game for 0.5 points. Biedrins is also shooting 30.8 percent from the free throw line this season.

Sat Feb 9 201323:44Biedrins scoreless in start at center
Andris Biedrins was scoreless with eight rebounds and two assists on Saturday, playing 13 minutes in a fill-in start at center.
Andrew Bogut was rested for the second half of a back-to-back set which cleared the starting gig for Biedrins. There was some pregame confusion, as Festus Ezeli (11 minutes) was listed as the starting C, but neither guy is a fantasy asset.

Sun Jan 13 201323:21Biedrins (groin) sits out second straight
Andris Biedrins (right groin) sat out a second straight game on Sunday.
His absence has a minimal impact, shifting a few minutes at the end of the Warriors' frontcourt rotation, and in fantasy leagues it's irrelevant.

Fri Jan 11 201321:36Biedrins will not play against the Blazers
Andris Biedrins (right groin) will not play against the Blazers on Friday.
He was limited in Thursday's practice and the Warriors weren't expected to risk him aggravating his injury. Biedrins is one of the worst free throw shooters in the game, making just 36 percent of his attempts this season. He has very little fantasy value in even the deepest of leagues.

Thu Jan 10 201316:41Andris Biedrins (groin) limited on Thursday
Andris Biedrins (right groin) was limited in Thursday's practice.
It's unclear if this will jeopardize his status vs. the Blazers on Friday, but his availability shouldn't impact fantasy owners. Biedrins has dealt with groin injuries in the past so presumably he'll be very cautious.

Wed Dec 26 201223:44Andris Biedrins grabs 12 boards in 19 minutes
Andris Biedrins had a season-high 12 rebounds in Wednesday's win at Utah and failed to score.
He's shooting 37.5 percent from the line this year, which is his best percentage in his last four seasons. He's worth more trouble than he's worth in all leagues.
