Sat Dec 17 202213:10Yankees Sign Michael Hermosillo To Minor-League Deal
The New York Yankees signed outfielder Michael Hermosillo and right-hander Demarcus Evans to minor-league deals. Hermosillo, 27, played in just 47 games for the Chicago Cubs over the last two seasons, hitting .144/.246/.278 with three home runs, 11 RBI, 12 runs scored and one stolen base in 111 plate appearances. In five major-league seasons, he's slashing .167/.268/.283 with four home runs and 17 RBI in 103 games played. Hermosillo will merely serve as outfield depth for the Yankees. Evans did not pitch at all in the big leagues in 2022. In two seasons with the Texas Rangers, he has a 4.75 ERA (4.66 FIP), a 1.42 WHIP and 37 strikeouts in 30 1/3 relief innings.

Thu Dec 2 202115:59Cubs Re-Sign Michael Hermosillo Before Lockout Begins
The Chicago Cubs re-signed outfielder Michael Hermosillo to a one-year, $600,000 major league deal on Wednesday night before MLB entered a lockout on Thursday. The 26-year-old was non-tendered on Wednesday before the Cubs decided to re-sign him to a new deal. Hermosillo dealt with several injuries that slowed him down last season, but he managed three home runs in 38 plate appearances while also slashing .194/.237/.500. Both he and recently added outfielder Harold Ramirez are options to cover all three outfield spots in Chicago. And for a rebuilding Cubs team, there's a chance that both Hermosillo and Ramirez play their way into starting spots in 2022. Hermosillo has a .190/.276/.343 slash line with four home runs and 13 RBI in 72 career games at the big-league level with the Cubs and Los Angeles Angels.

Fri Sep 3 202121:00Michael Hermosillo Hits Third Homer
Chicago Cubs outfielder Michael Hermosillo started in place of Rafael Ortega and came through in the teams victory versus the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday. Hermosillo had a big game and went 3-for-5 with two runs and three RBI. He also hit his third home run of the season off of Steven Brault in the bottom of the fourth inning. Despite the impressive performance, the outfielder isn't getting enough at-bats to make any sort of impact in the fantasy world. For the season, he is now hitting .206 with three home runs and seven RBI in 34 at-bats.
