For now, he'll ride the pine in the Bronx while providing outfield depth behind Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Giancarlo Stanton, Alex Verdugo and Trent Grisham.

There's not much, if any, fantasy appeal here. Trammell is batting eighth and Kolten Wong, who is starting at second base, is batting ninth against Alek Manoah.

Toro suffered a sprained left shoulder on Saturday against the Boston Red Sox, and it's unclear exactly when he'll be ready to return to the Mariners major league roster. The 25-year-old was hitting just .179/.237/.366, but he did have six home runs and 13 RBI in 38 games played. Trammell is starting in right field and batting ninth on Sunday against Red Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. He'll have to prove himself to remain in the majors after hitting .160/.256/.359 with a 42.1% strikeout rate in 51 games in 2021.
