The Minnesota Twins have signed right-handed pitcher Daniel Gossett to a minor league deal. In two seasons with the Oakland Athletics from 2017-18, Gossett recorded a 5.91 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, 84 strikeouts and 39 walks in 115 2/3 innings over 23 starts. He spent the 2021 season at Triple-A Worcester in the Boston Red Sox organization and went 7-5 with a 4.22 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 81 strikeouts and 46 walks in 98 innings pitched over 20 appearances (18 starts). The 29-year-old didn't pitch at all in the shortened 2020 season and only made five appearances in 2019 in the Arizona Fall League. Gossett will give the Twins some pitching depth in the minor leagues in 2022.
