Thu Aug 10 202314:28Pablo Reyes Moves Into Leadoff Spot Thursday
Boston Red Sox infielder Pablo Reyes is hitting out of the leadoff spot for Thursday's series finale versus the Kansas City Royals and left-hander Austin Cox. It's the first start of the season for Reyes in the leadoff spot while he has not started a game hitting higher than the six-hole in the lineup. The 29-year-old has had a nice season in part-time duty in the big leagues, hitting .321 with a .780 OPS across 92 trips to the plate. Reyes lacks power with just one homer and a .095 isolated power on the season but he has also struck out in just 13% of his plate appearances. Additionally, Reyes is hitting .458 with four doubles in 27 trips to the plate against southpaws this season.

Mon Jul 24 202314:24Pablo Reyes Reinstated From Injured List
The Boston Red Sox reinstated infielder Pablo Reyes (abdomen) from the injured list on Monday and optioned relievers Justin Garza and Brandon Walter to Triple-A Worcester in corresponding moves. Reyes is back in Boston after missing around a month with an abdominal injury, and he'll provide infield depth moving forward. The 29-year-old went 11-for-41 with three home runs, three stolen bases, seven RBI and eight runs scored in 11 games on his minor-league rehab assignment. Reyes was hitting .303/.338/.364 with no home runs, four doubles, nine RBI and nine runs scored in 27 games for the BoSox before his injury. He's probably only worth rostering in AL-only leagues at this point unless he suddenly comes into everyday playing time. Reyes has six homers in 174 big-league games.

Fri Jul 14 202319:36Pablo Reyes To Continue Rehab Assignment This Weekend
Boston Red Sox infielder Pablo Reyes (abdomen) will continue his minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Portland this weekend and will not rejoin the team until next week. The Red Sox are giving Reyes a little more time to recover from an abdominal strain, but as long as he doesn't have a setback during games this weekend, he should be back in Boston early next week. The 29-year-old will give the Red Sox more infield depth when he returns, but he's unlikely to find regular playing time, especially with shortstop Trevor Story (elbow) nearing his season debut. Reyes has hit .303 (20-for-66) with no homers, four doubles, nine RBI and nine runs scored in 27 games in his first year in Beantown.

Sat Jul 8 202314:24Pablo Reyes To Remain Out Beyond All-Star Break
Boston Red Sox infielder Pablo Reyes (abdomen) won't rejoin the big club before the All-Star break. The 29-year-old, who has been out a few weeks because of an abdominal strain, recently began a rehab assignment. He's played well during his time in Triple-A, with skipper Alex Cora stating, "he's doing well." However, with Yu Chang available and Trevor Story (elbow) heading for a rehab assignment of his own, Reyes may not be as useful to fantasy managers once he returns. But Cora didn't get into specifics regarding how things will play out from a lineup standpoint moving forward, so it may be at least a few weeks before anyone has to worry about it.

Thu Jun 22 202315:59Pablo Reyes Injured Thursday
Boston Red Sox infielder Pablo Reyes (undisclosed) was forced from Thursday's game early against the Minnesota Twins and was replaced at second base by Enrique Hernandez. Reyes dealt with abdominal soreness two days ago, so perhaps it's related to that. Before leaving, Reyes went 0-for-1 to drop his season average to .303. For now, let's consider the 29-year-old to be day-to-day until we know more about his condition. Entering Thursday's game, Reyes had been performing well for the Red Sox in 26 games, hitting .308 (20-for-65) with no homers, four doubles, nine RBI, one steal and nine runs scored in 71 plate appearances.

Wed May 17 202314:41Pablo Reyes Making Fifth Straight Start Wednesday
Boston Red Sox infielder Pablo Reyes will make his fifth straight start Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners and left-hander Marco Gonzales. Acquired from the A's for cash considerations less than a week ago, Reyes has made a nice impact across the first four games of his Red Sox tenure, collecting at least one hit in all four contests while going 6-for-14 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and a caught stealing in that time. Prior to coming to Boston, the 29-year-old hit .257 with one homer, three stolen bases, and a .736 OPS across 91 trips to the plate with the A's Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas this season.

Fri May 12 202315:50Red Sox Acquire Pablo Reyes From A's
The Boston Red Sox acquired minor-league infielder Pablo Reyes from the Oakland Athletics on Friday in exchange for cash considerations. Reyes played in five games for the Milwaukee Brewers last year and has hit .238/.307/.361 with a .667 OPS, 14 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 29 RBI and five stolen bases in 147 big-league games over four seasons. The 29-year-old Dominican had gone 19-for-74 (.257) with two doubles, a triple, a homer, 10 RBI, three stolen bases and 13 runs scored in 21 games for Triple-A Las Vegas this year prior to the trade. Reyes, who can play any infield position, will now report to Triple-A Worcester to provide Boston with organizational infield depth.
