Sat Sep 24 202213:17Sheldon Neuse Designated For Assignment
Oakland Athletics infielder Sheldon Neusehas been designated for assignment. The team needed to make room for infielder Ernie Clement on the 40-man roster, so Neuse was the odd man out. The 27-year-old utility infielder has scuffled at the dish this season, slashing just .214/.273/.288 with four home runs, 26 RBI and six stolen bases over 271 at-bats. He could generate some interest on the open market, but his time with the A's is finished for now.

Wed Aug 17 202214:29Sheldon Neuse Recalled By A's
The Oakland Athletics recalled infielder Sheldon Neuse on Wednesday. So far in 252 plate appearances this season, the 27-year-old is hitting .227 with a .286 on-base percentage, three home runs, and six stolen bases. He takes the place of Elvis Andrus, who the team released on Wednesday, on the active roster. With experience at third base, second base, and first base, Neuse gives the A's a versatile option off the bench, though he's probably only an option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues.
