Mon Nov 20 202315:00Cole Sulser Inks Minors Pact With Mets
Free-agent pitcher Cole Sulser has agreed to a minor-league deal with the New York Mets. The right-hander made just four MLB appearances in the 2023 season with the Arizona Diamondbacks, yielding four earned runs across 5 1/3 innings in that time. He also struggled in the 2022 season when he posted a 5.29 ERA across 39 appearances with the Miami Marlins, but he is just two seasons removed from a 2.70 ERA across a hefty 60 appearances with the Baltimore Orioles. He also had a 3.86 ERA across 12 appearances with the Rays' Triple-A affiliate before a move into the D-backs organization last season.

Sun Jul 30 202313:10Cole Sulser Reinstated On Sunday
Arizona Cardinals relief pitcher Cole Sulser (shoulder) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list on Sunday. The 33-year-old had been on the shelf with a shoulder strain and recently spent time in Triple-A Reno for rehab. Unfortunately, Sulser has a 6.23 ERA this season, so he's not worth considering in any fantasy format until he turns things around.

Fri Apr 7 202321:09Cole Sulser Lands On The Injured List
Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Cole Sulser (shoulder) landed on the 15-day injured list on Friday, retroactive to April 6. Per skipper Torey Lovullo, the 33-year-old has a strained right teres major in his right shoulder and remains without a timetable for his return. That said, Sulser hasn't played well this season, amassing a miserable 6.23 ERA in 4 1/3 innings (three games). As a result, there won't be many fantasy managers anxiously awaiting his return. Luis Frias was recalled from Triple-A Reno to fill the void in the lineup.

Sun Aug 14 202213:44Cole Sulser Transferred To The 60-Day IL
Miami Marlins reliever Cole Sulser (lat) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster for recent call-ups Andrew Nardi and Parker Bugg. Sulser has been on the injured list since June 15 with a right lat strain so this procedural move shouldn't affect his timeline to return to the club. The 32-year-old righty owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 26:10 K/BB ratio across 23 1/3 innings (26 appearances) on the season.

Thu Apr 28 202216:33Cole Sulser Records His First Save On Thursday
Miami Marlins relief pitcher Cole Sulser closed out the team's 3-2 win over the Washington Nationals on Thursday to earn his first save of the year. He pitched the final 1 1/3 innings of the game, allowing one walk, no hits and no runs while striking out two. Anthony Bender had pitched on back-to-back days, so he was unavailable for Thursday's game. Bender leads the team with four saves and is very clearly the team's primary closer at least for now. Sulser became the fourth Marlin to record a save so far this year and the team is still awaiting the 2022 debut of Dylan Floro (shoulder), who will likely end up being the primary competitor to Bender in the saves battle.

Sun Apr 3 202220:42Cole Sulser, Tanner Scott Traded To Marlins

The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a trade that will send relief pitchers Cole Sulser and Tanner Scott to the Miami Marlins. In exchange, the Orioles will receive a pair of prospects, pitcher Antonio Velez and outfielder Kevin Guerrero, as well as a player to be named later and a draft pick in this year's amateur draft. The Marlins needed a boost to their bullpen. The team's presumed closer Dylan Floro (arm) will begin the year on the injured list (though he may not be out long). Anthony Bender and Anthony Bass are in position to be the top saves candidates for the team while Floro is out, but we could see Sulser enter the mix as well. Sulser converted eight of his 11 save opportunities last year and he had a 2.70 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP on the season.

Wed Sep 29 202111:24Cole Sulser Earns Eighth Save Of Season Tuesday
Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Cole Sulser picked up his eighth save of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox. Sulser entered the game to pitch the ninth up by two and pitched a 1-2-3 inning through the middle of the lineup without any strikeouts. While not all that fantasy relevant, Sulser has had a solid season, posting a 2.74 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 28.9% strikeout rate with five wins to go with his eight saves.

Wed Sep 1 202101:07Cole Sulser Earns Sixth Save Of Season Tuesday
Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Cole Sulser picked up his sixth save of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jays. Sulser entered to pitch the ninth inning up by two and threw a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout to end the game. The 31-year-old has pitched well this season, compiling a 3.12 ERA over 49 innings pitched. However, save opportunities (and holds for that matter) have been very hard to come by for the O's this season, so Sulser's fantasy value has been limited.
