Thu Jul 27 202321:34Touki Toussaint Will Start Friday Versus Cleveland
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Touki Toussaint is set to start Friday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. The White Sox recently dealt right-hander Lucas Giolito to the Angels on Wednesday. Friday would have initially been Giolito's return to the rotation. Toussaint owns a 4.06 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and a 25: 22 K: BB across 31 innings in 2023. The former prospect carries a $5,100 DraftKings price tag and is an option fantasy managers should avoid for both streaming and DFS purposes for Friday's slate.

Sat Jul 8 202309:14Touki Toussaint Getting Starting Nod On Saturday
Chicago White Sox relief pitcher Touki Toussaint is set to start Saturday's game versus the St. Louis Cardinals. Chicago seeks for the 27-year-old to eat some innings while Mike Clevinger (biceps) and Michael Kopech (shoulder) remain sidelined. Toussaint has made three appearances for the White Sox, holding a tolerable 3.60 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with 11 strikeouts over 10 innings with them. In a tough matchup with likely pitch-count limitations, the former first-rounder should probably be avoided by fantasy managers in this one despite the passable figures.

Sat Jul 2 202213:52Touki Toussaint Designated For Assignment
The Atlanta Braves designated right-handed pitcher Touki Toussaint for assignment on Saturday. The move was made to clear a roster spot on the 40-man roster for fellow right-hander Jay Jackson (back), who was activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A. Toussaint first arrived in the majors as a promising prospect back in 2018. He pitched to a 2.38 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP over 136.1 innings split between Double-A and Triple-A in 2018. However, he's struggled to find consistency in the majors with a 5.46 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP across 49 appearances (21 starts).

Wed Sep 22 202121:21Touki Toussaint Placed On Bereavement List
The Atlanta Braves placed pitcher Touki Toussaint on the bereavement list on Wednesday. It was one of a number of moves made by the team on Wednesday. They also recalled infielder Orlando Arcia from Triple-A. Toussaint has made three starts this month and all three were brief, totaling 10 innings. He posted an ugly 8.10 ERA over the three starts and the team announced after his last outing that he'd be shifted back to the bullpen. The 25-year-old has yet to find any consistency in the majors. He has a 5.46 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP over 49 career appearances, 21 of which have been starts.

Wed Sep 15 202100:43Touki Toussaint Posts Another Dud
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Touki Toussaint struggled once again and was unable to go deep into Tuesday's game versus the Colorado Rockies. He managed to go four innings, five hits allowed, four earned runs, three walks, and five strikeouts in the 5-4 loss. The young righty has posted three straight dud performances. He has not looked like the same pitcher that he did a month ago. Toussaint is scheduled to pitch against the San Francisco Giants in his next start. We'll see if he actually makes the appearance, but regardless he won't be on the fantasy radar.

Fri Sep 3 202100:28Touki Toussaint Struggles Against Rockies
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Touki Toussaint did not look his best during Thursday's game against the Colorado Rockies. He went three innings, six hits allowed, five runs (four earned) in the 6-5 victory. Toussaint was solid until the third inning where he had a complete meltdown. Despite that, he is posting a 4.19 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 40/15 K/BB ratio across 43 innings with the Braves. He has solid upside and should be worth a roster spot down the stretch of the season.

Sun Aug 29 202121:07Touki Toussaint Could See More Starts This Season
Atlanta Braves right-hander Touki Toussaint may start some more games this season while also pitching out of the pen, according to David O'Brien of The Athletic. The Braves activated starter Ian Anderson on Sunday, leaving Toussaint as the odd man out of the rotation. Manager Brian Snitker said he would be the pitcher they use as a sixth starter if they have a long stretch of games without a day off. Toussaint has been solid this season, posting a 3.60 ERA with 40 K and 15 BB across 40 IP and seven starts. When he does get the nod, he could be a good streaming option pitching for a good team while providing strikeout upside.

Tue Aug 17 202110:44Touki Toussaint Tosses Solid Outing Versus Marlins
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Touki Toussaint lived up to the hype during Monday's game against the Miami Marlins. He went 6 1/3 innings, three hits allowed, two earned runs, two walks, and seven strikeouts in the 12-2 victory. The biggest takeaway was the fact that Toussaint was able to limit the amount of walks he surrendered. That has been the biggest problem for him in his young career. Toussaint will carry a 4.01 ERA, 35/11 K/BB ratio in 33 2/3 innings next his next outing versus the Baltimore Orioles. He's a decent streaming choice in mixed leagues for that matchup.

Thu Aug 12 202111:00Touki Toussaint Holds Reds In Check
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Touki Toussaint was pitching fairly well until the sixth inning of Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Toussaint went five innings, four hits allowed, two earned runs, three walks, and five strikeouts in the 8-6 victory. He held the Reds scoreless until a two-run home run by Joey Votto in the sixth inning. Toussaint didn't last much longer in the game, but did pitch well here. He'll take a 4.28 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts over 27 1/3 innings into his next start versus the Miami Marlins. Toussaint could be a possible streaming option there against the shaky Marlins lineup.
