Tue Feb 620:49Jacob Webb Wins Arbitration Case With Orioles
Right-hander Jacob Webb won his salary arbitration hearing against the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday and will earn $1 million in 2024. The 30-year-old will get a $260,000 raise from a season ago after posting a 3.69 ERA (4.48 FIP) with a 1.29 WHIP, one save, 30 walks and 57 strikeouts in 53 2/3 relief innings for the Los Angeles Angels and Orioles last season. The Orioles claimed him off waivers from the Halos last August, and he will once again serve in a middle-relief role for Baltimore in 2024. In Webb's four major-league seasons, he has a solid 2.97 ERA (4.19 FIP), four saves, a 1.29 WHIP and a 23.0 percent strikeout rate in 130 1/3 innings over 132 appearances out of the bullpen. Webb won't be on the fantasy radar at all.

Mon Aug 7 202319:25Orioles Claim Jacob Webb Off Waivers From Angels
The Baltimore Orioles claimed right-hander Jacob Webb off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels on Monday and moved right-hander Austin Voth (elbow) to the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move. The Angels designated Webb for assignment over the weekend after he posted a decent 3.98 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, one save and 34 strikeouts in 31 2/3 relief innings for them this year. The 29-year-old won't be fantasy relevant with the move to Baltimore but should remain on the big-league roster since he's out of minor-league options. In his four years in the major leagues, Webb has a 2.91 ERA (4.48 FIP), 1.32 WHIP, four saves, 51 walks and 105 strikeouts in 108 1/3 relief innings over 107 appearances.

Fri Jun 16 202300:52Jacob Webb Gets Out Of Jam For First Save
Los Angeles Angels reliever Jacob Webb notched his first save of the season Thursday, securing a 5-3 win over the Texas Rangers. Webb came into a doozy of a situation, as closer Carlos Estevez allowed three walks before being pulled. Webb did walk a batter, but he pitched well enough to get out of it. The 29-year-old has pitched well this year, as shown by his 2.03 ERA and 0.90 WHIP. That said, it is unlikely he will see many more save chances and this was a special situation. Estevez has been rock-solid for almost the entire season, plus they have other options that they'd probably go to before Webb.

Tue Jun 7 202214:44Braves Acquire Jacob Webb From Diamondbacks
The Atlanta Braves acquired right-hander Jacob Webb from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday in exchange for cash considerations. Webb will be available on Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics. In a corresponding move, the Braves placed right-hander Collin McHugh on the COVID-19 injured list. Webb spent the last three years with the Braves before he was waived and claimed by Arizona in April. In his three major league seasons with Atlanta, the 28-year-old has a 2.47 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 71 strikeouts and 31 walks in 76 2/3 innings over 78 relief outings. He allowed six earned runs while walking three and striking out seven in 5 1/3 innings for Triple-A Reno in the D-backs organization this year.
