SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — San Francisco Giants hitting coach Alonzo Powell never considered stepping away when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Being around the game is good therapy, he said, and all he had to do was find a way to work his radiation treatments into his busy schedule.The 54-year-old was diagnosed during a routine physical in 2017 while he was on the Houston Astros' coaching staff.
