Tue Apr 18 202314:35Kyle Muller Roughed Up Again On Monday
Oakland A's pitcher Kyle Muller was rocked for a second straight start on Monday versus the Chicago Cubs. While Muller lasted just four innings, he surrendered a whopping 13 hits including a home run while allowing seven earned runs to cross the plate. Forced into an Opening Day start due to some injuries to the A's rotation, Muller hurled 10 2/3 innings of three-run ball to begin his season but has struggled since. The big left-hander has been rocked for 12 earned runs across just eight innings over his last two starts. The 25-year-old will carry a 7.23 ERA into his next scheduled start on April 24 when he will take on the Los Angeles Angels on the road.

Wed Apr 5 202314:19Kyle Muller Toes The Rubber Wednesday
Oakland A's starting pitcher Kyle Muller will start Wednesday afternoon's game against the visiting Cleveland Guardians. The hulking 25-year-old started on Opening Day for the A's, turning in five innings of one-run ball with three strikeouts against just one walk as part of a no-decision against the Los Angeles Angels, going toe-to-toe against Shohei Ohtani along the way. Acquired in the off-season trade that sent catcher Sean Murphy to the Atlanta Braves, Muller was rocked for an 8.03 ERA in three starts with Atlanta last season but worked to a healthy 3.41 ERA and 29.3% K% across 23 starts at the Triple-A level.

Wed Sep 28 202211:40Kyle Muller Sent Back Down After Tuesday's Start
The Atlanta Braves optioned left-hander Kyle Muller to Triple-A Gwinnett following his start against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday, in which he gave up two runs on six hits while walking one and striking out four in 4 2/3 innings. In corresponding moves, the team selected right-hander Silvino Bracho's contract from the minors and placed right-hander Huascar Ynoa (elbow) on the 60-day injured list. Muller has made only three starts for the Braves in 2022, allowing 11 earned runs on 13 hits (two homers) while walking eight and striking out 12 in 12 1/3 innings against the Texas Rangers, Miami Marlins and Nationals. He's allowed four earned runs in his last two starts over 9 2/3 frames.

Tue Sep 27 202211:01Kyle Muller Recalled To Start Tuesday
The Atlanta Braves recalled left-hander Kyle Muller from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday and optioned right-hander Alan Rangel to Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Muller will make the start on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals. The 24-year-old southpaw will be making only his third start of the year for Atlanta and only his 12th major-league appearance in the last two seasons. In his two previous starts this year, he allowed nine earned runs on seven hits (one homer) while walking seven and striking out eight in 7 2/3 innings against the Texas Rangers and Miami Marlins. Muller does have strikeout upside, with 159 K's in 134 2/3 innings in the minors in 2022, but he'll be a risky fantasy streamer, even against the Nats.

Sat Aug 13 202211:54Kyle Muller Recalled, Starting Saturday
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Muller will take the mound for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Miami Marlins. Right-hander Ian Anderson will serve as the 27th man, so possibly Muller sticks around longer than one start. The 24-year-old holds a 3.27 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 122/27 K/BB ratio over 99 innings in Triple-A this season. He struggled during his lone outing for the Braves this season, but does have streaming value here. Fantasy managers should have Muller on their radar in case he does stay up with the big league team.

Wed Jul 27 202211:12Kyle Muller Has Broken Bone In Hand
Atlanta Braves left-handed pitching prospect Kyle Muller (hand) has a broken bone in his non-pitching hand after being hit by a comebacker during batting practice a few days ago. The team is trying to get a splint made that will allow him to continue pitching while recovering from the injury, which is why he's not listed in Triple-A Gwinnett's planned starters for the next five days. Muller is the team's top prospect, per MLB Pipeline. The 24-year-old southpaw made one start with the Braves on May 1 against the Texas Rangers and allowed seven earned runs while walking six in just 2 2/3 innings. He's been much better at Gwinnett, posting a 2.96 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 117 K's in 94 1/3 innings over 16 starts. It remains to be seen how long Muller will be out, but the 6-foot-7 lefty could see some more starts with the Braves in the second half of the season.

Sun May 1 202211:25Kyle Muller Called Up To Start Sunday
The Atlanta Braves recalled left-hander Kyle Muller from the minors on Sunday, and he will start in the series finale against the Texas Rangers. In a corresponding move, the team optioned right-hander Bryce Elder to Triple-A Gwinnett after Saturday's game. Lefty Max Fried will be pushed back to the series opener on Monday against the New York Mets. Elder began the year in the starting rotation, but he was sent down after having his third straight rough outing on Saturday, when he allowed three earned runs on four hits and three walks in 4 1/3 innings. Muller had 28 strikeouts in 19 2/3 innings for Gwinnett before his call-up, and he posted a 4.17 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP and 37:20 K:BB in 36 2/innings over nine outings (eight starts) for Atlanta last year.

Fri Aug 13 202111:37Kyle Muller Optioned After Rough Outing
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Muller has been optioned to Triple-A following a rough outing against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. He went 2 1/3 innings, five hits allowed, six earned runs, three walks, and one strikeout in the 12-3 loss. This game was really the only really bad outing he has posted since joining the Braves rotation. Despite that, the organization has decided it's time for Muller to get more work in the minors. Right-hander Jacob Webb has been recalled, but he'll come out of the bullpen. Huascar Ynoa (hand) is on the verge of returning and is expected to take Muller's spot in the rotation. Fantasy managers should check and see if Ynoa is available because he was excellent before the injury.

Sat Aug 7 202100:22Kyle Muller Unable To Get Through Five Innings
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Muller came into this outing posting a 1.88 ERA in six starts. Sadly, things didn't go well for the young lefty during Friday's game against the Washington Nationals. Muller went 4 2/3 innings, two hits allowed, three earned runs, two walks, and three strikeouts in the 8-4 victory. It's surprising Muller gave up three runs considering he was facing one of the worst lineups we've seen this season. Despite that, he'll get a rebound outing against the Cincinnati Reds next time out. Muller remains a strong fantasy asset despite one below average outing.

Sun Aug 1 202111:32Kyle Muller Pitches Well In No-Decision
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Muller pitched well during Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. He tossed five innings, four hits allowed, one earned run, two walks, and seven strikeouts in the 8-1 victory. Since joining the Braves, Muller has posted a 2.43 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 33/15 K/BB ratio across 29 2/3 innings. He'll draw a favorable matchup against the Washington Nationals during his next outing. Muller is someone that needs to be owed in all deep or mixed leagues. He's a borderline option in standard formats and a strong streaming choice for his next outing.
