Mon Nov 13 202322:25Orioles Agree To Terms With Tucker Davidson
The Baltimore Orioles agreed to terms on an undisclosed one-year deal with free-agent left-hander Tucker Davidson on Monday. Davidson joined the Orioles this offseason after being claimed off waivers from the Kansas City Royals after he was non-tendered. In his 38 appearances (one starts) with the Angels and Royals last season, Davidson had a 5.96 ERA (4.27 FIP) and 1.62 WHIP with two saves, 19 walks and a career-high 46 strikeouts in 51 1/3 innings pitched. Davidson has been mediocre in four major-league seasons with a 5.98 ERA (5.09 FIP) and 1.62 WHIP in 125 innings over 55 outings (17 starts).

Wed Oct 25 202312:51Orioles Claim Tucker Davidson Off Waivers From Royals
The Baltimore Orioles claimed left-hander Tucker Davidson off waivers from the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. Davidson appeared in 38 games (one start) for the Royals and Los Angeles Angels in 2023, posting a combined 5.96 ERA (4.27 FIP), 1.62 WHIP, two saves, 19 walks and a career-high 46 strikeouts in 51 1/3 innings pitched. The 27-year-old southpaw was slightly better with the Royals in 20 appearances (one start), allowing 12 runs (11 earned) while walking eight and striking out 15 in 19 2/3 innings. Tue Aug 1 202312:16Royals Acquire Tucker Davidson From Angels
The Kansas City Royals acquired left-hander Tucker Davidson from the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday in exchange for cash considerations. The move comes after the Angels designated Davidson for assignment last Thursday. The 27-year-old southpaw struggled in his time with the Halos this year, allowing 25 runs (23 earned) on 44 hits while walking 11 and striking out 31 in 31 2/3 relief innings over 18 appearances out of the bullpen. He also recorded his first two career saves. Davidson will now join Kansas City's bullpen in a long-relief role, which won't give him any fantasy appeal.

Sun Aug 14 202220:30Tucker Davidson Takes Win Sunday
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tucker Davidson earned the win against the Minnesota Twins Sunday, throwing six innings and allowing two runs on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Davidson has pitched in two games, both starts, since coming over from the Atlanta Braves at the trade deadline, giving up eight total runs in 10 innings in those outings. For the season he has a 6.75 ERA and 1.74 WHIP with 14 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings, numbers which keep him well off the fantasy radar despite his expected expanded opportunity with the Angels.

Tue May 17 202215:31Tucker Davidson Called Up to Start Against Brewers
Atlanta Braves left-hander Tucker Davidson is being called up from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday in order to start against the Milwaukee Brewers. Left-hander Tyler Matzek (shoulder) is going on the injured list with a left shoulder issue. Davidson made one relief appearance for the Braves earlier this year, allowing five earned runs on five hits in just 2 2/3 innings, so he should be avoided as a fantasy streamer against Milwaukee in his first start of the season. In 26 1/3 innings at Gwinnett, the 26-year-old has a 4.44 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, nine walks and 34 strikeouts.

Mon May 17 202117:38Braves' Ynoa punches bench, breaks hand, to miss 2 months
ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Braves right-hander Huascar Ynoa suffered a broken right hand when he punched the dugout bench following a poor start at Milwaukee on Sunday and is expected to miss two months. Braves manager Brian Snitker said Ynoa's hand was hurting on the flight back to Atlanta, leading to the tests which revealed the fracture. Ynoa was frustrated after giving up five runs and nine hits in 4 1/3 innings of the 10-9 loss to the Brewers. “I knew he had done it and it was sore but in the flight it started bothering him more,” Snitker said Monday. “They checked this morning and it was a fracture. It’s a shame.” Ynoa (4-2, 3.02) has the lowest ERA and most wins on the Braves staff. He allowed only one earned run in his previous three starts before Sunday. Ynoa's emergence has been especially important as Mike Soroka, the team's opening day pitcher in 2020, experienced a setback in his recovery from surgery for his torn right Achilles tendon. Soroka had a follow-up surgery on Monday,... [More]

ATLANTA (AP) — Braves left-hander Max Fried was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring Wednesday after injuring himself while running the bases. Fried is off to a rocky start coming off a stellar 2020 season, and now he's sidelined by a fluke injury in Tuesday night's loss to the Miami Marlins. He tweaked his hamstring running from second to third on a wild pitch. The Braves also placed rookie outfielder Cristian Pache on the IL with a strained left groin. Left-hander Tucker Davidson and outfielder Guillermo Heredia were called up from the alternate-training site to fill the openings. Fried (0-1) has an 11.45 ERA through three starts after going 7-0 with a 2.25 ERA last season and finishing fifth in the NL Cy Young Award balloting. He was dreadful in the 14-8 loss to the Marlins, allowing nine hits, eight runs (seven earned) and two homers in four innings. In his previous start, he lasted only two innings against the Nationals while surrendering five runs. Manager... [More]
