After 13 season with the Pacers, Jeff Foster has announced his retirement due to chronic back injuries.

Sun Mar 4 201209:36Jeff Foster (lower back) sidelined on Sat.
Jeff Foster's lower back forced him to miss Saturday's game.
The Pacers hadn't played in four days so this wasn't simply a conditioning issue -- Foster's chronic back pain isn't going away this season. If he can get healthy enough to grind out a small role in the playoffs (hacking Dwight Howard, perhaps?), his season will have been a success.
