Tue May 23 202314:51Josh Palacios Back In The Starting Lineup Tuesday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Josh Palacios is back in the starting lineup Tuesday against the visiting Texas Rangers and right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. It's Palacios' first start since May 20 as he's appeared in just seven big-league contests this season. The 27-year-old is hitting .267 but is without a home run or a stolen base while his OPS is a meager .580. Palacios raked at Triple-A prior to his big-league promotion, however, with a .434 average, four home runs, three stolen bases, and a 1.274 OPS across 60 trips to the plate. Palacios doesn't have a track record of hitting for power in the minors which leaves his bat off the fantasy radar moving forward.

Tue May 9 202312:06Pirates Call Up Josh Palacios
The Pittsburgh Pirates selected the contract of outfielder Josh Palacios from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday and designated infielder Chase De Jong for assignment in a corresponding move, according to sources. Palacios was tearing the cover off the ball in the minors with a .368 average (32-for-87), six doubles, a triple, four home runs, 22 RBI, four stolen bases and 17 runs scored in 21 games for Indy and Double-A Altoona. The 27-year-old figures to be a bench bat for the Pirates in the short term, and fantasy managers shouldn't be too excited about him, as Palacios hasn't looked great in 42 major-league games with the Blue Jays and Nationals the last two years. He has a .207/.267/.232 slash line with no homers and six RBI in 91 plate appearances.

Mon Aug 23 202122:39Josh Palacios Recalled From Triple-A Monday
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Josh Palacios was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, according to Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic. To make room for him on the roster, the Blue Jays optioned relief pitcher Kirby Snead to Triple-A. Palacios has appeared in 10 games with Toronto this year, slashing .250/.353/.250 with four RBI and seven runs scored. He missed a chunk of this season due to a hand injury, but in the past he has shown the potential to be a 20 steals threat when healthy. At this point it's unlikely that Palacios will play enough to have value in any format, and can be left on the waiver wire in all redraft formats.
