Fri Feb 24 202321:18Jaylin Davis Signs Minor-League Deal
The New York Mets have signed outfielder Jaylin Davis to a minor-league deal on Friday. The right-handed slugger will receive an invitation to Spring Training, but isn't expected to make the big league roster. Last season, Davis hit .203/.312/.334 with seven homers at Triple-A in the Red Sox organization. The power potential is certainly there as Davis hit 35 home runs in the minors during the 2019 season. That being said, the Mets believe that the 28-year-old is worth taking a gamble on. He'll be nice insurance to have in the minors in case of injuries down the road.

Mon Aug 15 202214:49Enrique Hernandez Likely To Return Tuesday
Boston Red Sox outfielder/second baseman Enrique Hernandez (hip) is likely to come off the 60-day injured list on Tuesday. The Red Sox optioned outfielder Jaylin Davis to Triple-A on Sunday night. Hernandez has been on the IL since June 7 with a right hip flexor strain. The 30-year-old has struggled when healthy, hitting just .209 with four home runs, 24 RBI and 27 runs scored in 51 games, so it remains to be seen how much playing time he'll receive once he's back in Boston. Boston's current outfield options on the active roster include Jarren Duran, Tommy Pham, Alex Verdugo and Christian Arroyo.
