Sun Sep 25 202213:36Art Warren Transferred To The 60-Day Injured List
Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Art Warren (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list. This was just a procedural move to clear some roster space. Warren is going to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing elbow surgery earlier in September anyway. He should be ready to return for spring training next year.

Sat Aug 6 202213:04Art Warren Starts Rehab Assignment On Saturday
Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Art Warren (forearm) is starting a rehab assignment on Saturday at Triple-A Louisville. The 29-year-old reliever has been dealing with a right flexor pronator strain in his right arm since the beginning of July. He'll get a few minor league games under his belt before joining the Reds sometime in mid-August. Warren put together a rough 6.91 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 30:15 K/BB ratio across 28 2/3 innings of relief before going down. Despite his struggles, he did notch three saves and four holds and figures to be in the mix for high-leverage situations once he returns to action.

Sun Apr 10 202217:05Art Warren Earns His First Save On Sunday
Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Art Warren closed out the team's 6-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday to earn his first save of the year. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out one. Tony Santillan earned the team's first save of the year on Opening Day, but he was utilized in the eighth inning of Sunday's game. Santillan dealt with the heart of the Braves' lineup in the eighth inning, facing the two-through-six hitters in the lineup. Things are probably going to be fluid with the Cincinnati bullpen at least for now. When the Reds hold a late lead, Santillan may be called upon to face an opposing team's top hitters no matter which inning that may end up being, and that will make the saves picture quite messy. Meanwhile, keep in mind that Lucas Sims (back) will factor into the equation as well when he returns to the team - likely later this month.

Gray (2-4) allowed seven hits, struck out seven and walked two to end a three-start winless streak. “It was a hot day. He was battling," Cincinnati manager David Bell said. “And probably around the fourth inning or so, I didn’t know how much more he had left. It really does speak to number one, how great of a competitor he is. He found a way, and in that process of finding a way to kind of gather himself and get back out there.” Gray said he woke up feeling sick. “I feel like I definitely had an edge, maybe I was just trying to fake it until I could make it,” he said. “I tried all my tricks to get my nerves gone and I guess they just slowly went away where I could just go.” A day after blowing a 6-1 lead entering the eighth inning, the Reds bullpen came through....
