Mon Oct 9 202323:26Dean Kremer To Start In Game 3 Of ALDS
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer will take the mound for Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Wednesday in Texas as the Orioles look to stave off elimination after losing the first two games of the best-of-five series. It will be Kremer's first postseason appearance after allowing just seven runs (four earned) on 11 hits while walking five and striking out 16 in 13 2/3 innings in his last three starts of the regular season against the Rays, Guardians and Red Sox. The 27-year-old faced the Rangers once this year on May 27 and took the loss after giving up three runs while walking two and striking out five in 6 1/3 innings of work. Kremer was slightly better on the road (3.73 ERA, 1.39 WHIP) than at home (4.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP) in 2023, but it will be a tough task against a hot Rangers offense.

Thu Sep 28 202314:58Dean Kremer Looking To Clinch AL East Thursday
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer will look to pitch his club to an American League East title on Thursday when he takes the mound at home against the Boston Red Sox. With a win and a Rays loss on Thursday, the Orioles would win their first division title since the 2014 season. For his part, Kremer will enter Thursday's contest sporting a 4.25 ERA across 31 starts on the season but he also owns a 4.63 FIP and a 4.52 SIERA which suggest he has been a bit lucky this season. The 27-year-old lasted just 3 1/3 innings his last time out, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits and a pair of walks against the Guardians. However, he also allowed one earned run or fewer in four of his previous five starts prior to his sloppy outing his last time out.

Wed Aug 23 202312:21Dean Kremer Replaces Jack Flaherty On Wednesday
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer is replacing right-hander Jack Flaherty for the start on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. There wasn't a reason given for the move to Kremer, so stay tuned for more information on Flaherty's status for the rest of the week. The Orioles are listing Thursday's starter as TBA for now. In Flaherty's last outing on Aug. 15 against the San Diego Padres on the road, he was blasted for seven runs in three innings, so perhaps the O's want to give him some extra rest before his next start. Kremer has been pretty solid in his last five starts dating back to July 24, allowing 11 earned runs on 23 hits (three homers) while walking 12 and striking out 23 in 29 1/3 innings.

Thu Aug 10 202319:59Dean Kremer Picks Up 11th Win Thursday
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer picked up the win in his team's 5-4 victory over the Houston Astros on Thursday. Kremer allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings while striking out five and walking two in the win. The 27-year-old hurler picked up eight swinging strikes and wound up with a 21% CSW in the outing. Kremer now has an 11-4 record, 4.50 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 120 strikeouts over 132 innings of work in 2023. While his ERA and WHIP aren't great, Kremer has been useful in the wins and strikeouts categories from a fantasy standpoint.

Wed Jul 12 202312:17Dean Kremer To Open Up Second Half For Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles will start right-hander Dean Kremer in the first game of the second half of the season on Friday against the Miami Marlins, with Kyle Gibson getting the ball on Saturday and Kyle Bradish taking the hill in the series finale on Sunday. It means that right-hander Tyler Wells, who started the final game of the first half of the season on Sunday, will most likely make his first start of the second half on Monday in the series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 28-year-old Wells has already reached a career-high 104 2/3 innings over 18 outings (17 starts) in 2023, so fantasy managers should expect the Orioles to look to limit his workload at some point in the second half of the season.

Wed May 10 202323:21Dean Kremer Shuts Down Rays For Fourth Win
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dean Kremer tossed six scoreless innings in a victory over Tampa Bay on Wednesday. He fanned four batters en route to his fourth win in his last five tries. Kremer hasn't given up a long ball also in four of his last five starts. Even with an ordinary pitching arsenal, the right-hander is starting to ping the fantasy radar as a viable streaming option in favorable matchups following impressive showings against these Rays and the Braves in his prior start. The 27-year-old will carry a subpar 4.97 ERA and 1.46 WHIP into his next start on Tuesday against the hard-hitting Angels in Camden Yards. Kremer will be a fade for this particular matchup, especially with Shohei Ohtani also slated to toe the rubber.

Fri Aug 12 202200:55Dean Kremer Takes The Loss Thursday
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Dean Kremer saw his record fall to 4-4 as his club was defeated by the Red Sox 4-3 on Thursday. The 26-year-old gave up four runs on six hits while walking one and striking out six over 5 2/3 IP to give him his third loss over his last four starts. After beginning the year with a sterling 1.29 ERA through his first five contests, Kremer has fell back to earth with a 5.60 ERA over his last seven games to give him a 3.69 ERA and 1.31 WHIP for the season. His 49/15 K/BB is decent enough, but he's too difficult to trust for fantasy until he can string together some more consistent performances. Kremer will travel to Canada to take on the Blue Jays in his next scheduled start where he should remain on fantasy benches.

Sun Jun 5 202211:21Dean Kremer Reinstated For Season Debut Sunday
The Baltimore Orioles reinstated right-hander Dean Kremer (oblique) from the 10-day injured list on Sunday and optioned right-hander Denyi Reyes to Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. Kremer will make his first start of the season against the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. The 26-year-old was lights-out on his minor league rehab assignment, throwing nine scoreless innings while striking out 18 and walking two in three outings. Kremer wasn't very good in his second major league season last year for the O's, going 0-7 with a 7.55 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 47:25 K:BB in 53 2/3 innings over 13 starts, so fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach with him in deeper leagues.

Tue May 31 202209:49Dean Kremer Nearing His 2022 Debut
Baltimore Orioles right-handed pitcher Dean Kremer (oblique) has been on the shelf for the entirety of the 2022 season thus far due to a left oblique strain. However, he is nearing his return to the majors as he's been ramping things up in his minor league rehab outings the past few weeks. Over three starts spread across Double-A and Triple-A, he's pitched nine innings and hasn't allowed a run while recording 18 strikeouts and walking just two batters. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde was asked on Monday about what role Kremer would have upon his return and Hyde said that Kremer "would be an option down the road" for the team's starting rotation.

Sun Apr 10 202219:26Dean Kremer Likely Headed To Injured List
Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dean Kremer (oblique) was forced to exit before making his season debut on Sunday. Kremer suffered a left oblique strain while warming up for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He was a candidate to start on Tuesday, but could be headed to the injured list. Kremer struggled with the Orioles last season, so he doesn't have much fantasy value anyway. The Orioles have not announced a roster move ahead of Monday's contest.

Fri Jun 25 202102:09Cubs combine on record-tying 7th no-hitter of MLB season
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Zach Davies and three Chicago Cubs relievers combined for the seventh no-hitter in the majors this year, blanking the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0 Thursday night and tying the record for most in a single baseball season since 1900. The Dodgers drew eight walks, getting at least one from each Cubs pitcher, but managed no other baserunners. Davies (5-4) issued five walks and used 94 pitches to get through six innings against the defending World Series champions in the 16th start of his first season with the Cubs. Ryan Tepera and Andrew Chafin each went one inning. Craig Kimbrel then walked Chris Taylor leading off the ninth, but the closer struck out Cody Bellinger, Albert Pujols and pinch-hitter Will Smith to finish the 17th no-hitter in Cubs history — the team’s first combined effort. Javier Báez homered in the first inning and Willson Contreras added a two-run shot in the sixth for the Cubs, who happily celebrated the franchise’s first no-hitter since last Sept. 13, when...
