Dodgers signed RHP Blake Johnson to a minor league contract. | ||||||
Johnson was signed following an open tryout earlier this week. The 26-year-old right-hander posted an ugly 5.59 ERA in 77 1/3 innings between the Double- and Triple-A levels with the Royals and Rockies last season. He'll serve as minor league depth. | ||||||

Johnson, 25, posted a 3.41 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 80 1/3 innings this year at the Double-A level. He was a second round pick in 2004, but is making slow progress and will probably be a non-factor again in 2011. | ||||||
