Sat Feb 4 202312:51Dodgers Re-Sign Luke Williams To Minor-League Deal
The Los Angeles Dodgers re-signed infielder Luke Williams to a minor-league deal on Friday. The Dodgers initially added Williams last November when they claimed him off waivers. The 26-year-old spent time with the San Francisco Giants and Miami Marlins in 2022, slashing a combined .236/.287/.315 with a .602 OPS, one home run, six RBI, 21 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 136 plate appearances and 79 games in just his second major-league season. In his MLB debut with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2021, he hit .245 with a homer and six RBI in 58 games played. Williams will most likely open up 2023 in the minors with the Dodgers, providing utility depth on the infield.

Tue Nov 8 202220:57Dodgers Claim Luke Williams Off Waivers From Marlins
The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed outfielder Luke Williams off waivers on Tuesday from the Miami Marlins. Williams spent the 2022 season with the San Francisco Giants (eight games) and the Marlins, hitting a combined .236/.287/.315 with a homer, six RBI, 21 runs scored and 11 stolen bases in 136 plate appearances and 79 games in his second major-league campaign. The 26-year-old played in just 14 minor league games last year and hit .327 with a homer, eight RBI and nine stolen bases. Given how much talent the Dodgers already have in the outfield at the big-league level, Williams will most likely begin the year in the farm system with hopes of being called up later in the 2023 season.

Thu Aug 4 202214:19Luke Williams Steals Three Bases
Miami Marlins utility man Luke Williams stole three bases against the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday, going 3-for-3 with a double and a run scored in the 3-0 victory. Williams has been receiving regular playing time of late, and while he offers very little power with just one home run in 79 at-bats this season, seven of his nine steals have come in the last 30 games, and he could be a solid cheap option for fantasy managers desperate for speed.

Thu May 26 202211:24Marlins Acquire Luke Williams From Giants
The Miami Marlins acquired infielder Luke Williams from the San Francisco Giants on Thursday in exchange for infielder Hayden Cantrelle. Williams played in eight games for the Giants this year, going 3-for-12 with no home runs and three RBI. The Giants designated him for assignment last week. In 66 career games for the Philadelphia Phillies and Giants the last two years, Williams has slashed .245/.308/.318 with one home run, nine RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases. The 25-year-old will provide organizational depth for the Fish. Cantrelle has some speed, but he was struggling with a .185 batting average and 40 strikeouts in 28 games for Double-A Pensacola before the trade.

Sun Mar 27 202218:35Giants Acquire Luke Williams
The San Francisco Giants have acquired infielder and outfielder Luke Williams from the Philadelphia Phillies for minor league infielder Will Toffey and cash considerations. Williams hit .245 with a .315 on-base percentage, one home run, and a pair of stolen bases in 108 plate appearances for the Phillies last season. Capable of playing all four infield positions and the outfield, he'll give the Giants some additional depth on the 40-man roster. Williams collected a hit, an RBI, and a run scored in four plate appearances for the Phillies in Grapefruit League play this spring.
