The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed pitcher Nabil Crismatt and outfielder Travis Swaggerty to minor-league contracts. Crismatt, 28, got into eight big-league games between the Padres and D-backs in the 2023 season, allowing 12 earned runs, three home runs, and seven walks against 12 strikeouts in 13 innings of work. That said, the right-hander was largely very good from 2020-22 and owns a career 3.76 ERA across 109 big-league outings. Swaggerty, 26, didn't appear in the big leagues in 2023 and has just five MLB appearances under his belt, all coming in the 2022 season. He appeared in just 22 minor-league games in the Pirates' organization last season before being released and signing a minor-league deal with the White Sox.

Mon Jul 17 202319:04Travis Swaggerty Designated For Assignment
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Travis Swaggerty has been designated for assignment as part of a flurry of roster moves made by the club on Monday. The 25-year-old has yet to appear in the big leagues this season as he's spent much of his 2023 season at Triple-A, although his season has been dramatically cut short due to an undisclosed injury. Swaggerty has appeared in 17 Triple-A contests, scuffling to a .200 average with one homer, three stolen bases, and a .289 wOBA across 72 trips to the plate. He went 1-for-9 in five appearances with the Pirates last season while hitting .254 with nine homers and 20 stolen bases across 107 games at Double-A a season ago.

Tue Jun 7 202215:02Travis Swaggerty Making Debut Against Tigers
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Travis Swaggerty is making his major league debut on Tuesday, starting in center field and batting ninth against Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal. Swaggerty was brought up from Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday after hitting .280/.362/.439 with four home runs, 22 RBI and five stolen bases in 35 games for Indianapolis. The former first-rounder is listed by MLB Pipeline as the team's No. 13 prospect, and the left-handed hitter has plenty of raw power and a solid approach at the plate, but it remains to be seen how long he'll remain on Pittsburgh's MLB roster. Swaggerty won't have a ton of DFS appeal on Tuesday in the nine-hole in his debut.

Sun Jun 5 202213:24Travis Swaggerty Recalled From Triple-A Indianapolis
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Travis Swaggerty has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday. The news was first reported on Saturday and the move was made official on Sunday, prior to the start of the Pirates game against the Diamondbacks. The former 2018 first-round pick has put together a nice season at the minor-league level, slashing .280/.362/.439 with four home runs, 22 RBI, and five steals for Triple-A Indianapolis. He isn't starting for Pittsburgh on Sunday but could make his debut as a pinch-hitter in the contest. He should be added in deeper mixed and NL-only leagues.
