Mon Apr 2901:01Bryson Stott Smashes Pair Of Homers, Swipes Base
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott put the team on his back in an 8-6 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday. Stott finished the day going 2-for-3 with two homers and a stolen base. He also scored three runs and drove in four. It was a blistering day at the dish for the 26-year-old, who sorely needed it after a tough start to the season. The homers were just his second and third of the season and the stolen base was his fourth. Stott has 20/20 upside that was on full display Sunday, so he should be held onto in most leagues.

Sat Apr 1314:01Bryson Stott, Brandon Marsh Resting Saturday
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott and outfielder Brandon Marsh are not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Marsh and Stott will sit against Pirates left-hander Marco Gonzales. Stott and Marsh should be available off the bench to pinch-hit in Saturday's contest. Cristian Pache replaces Marsh in left field and is batting eighth, while Edmundo Sosa is batting sixth and handling the keystone. Pache has appeared in three games and has yet to collect a hit over four plate appearances. Sosa is hitting a robust .750 (3-for-4) with a homer over three games. Pache can be avoided in all fantasy leagues, while Sosa can be used as a streamer in a plus matchup versus Gonzales for Saturday's slate.

Fri Apr 1209:23Bryson Stott Hits First Homer
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Thursday's victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates. His home run would be the first of the season. Stott is coming off a career year in 2023, but has struggled early on in 2024 with a .220 batting average and five RBI. The good news is that he has stolen two bases and the better news is that the season is very young. Stott hitting at the bottom of the order isn't ideal for managers, but he is in a good Phillies lineup and shouldn't have a problem scoring runs or knocking them in. As it stands, Stott remains a serviceable second baseman that can help in multiple categories moving forward.

Thu Sep 28 202314:43Bryson Stott Sitting On Thursday
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott is out of the starting lineup Thursday versus the Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Luis L. Ortiz. While the Phillies gave several regulars a breather on Wednesday following a playoff-clinching win on Tuesday, Stott hit leadoff and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Wednesday evening. He will get his rare breather on Thursday as he's hitting .279 with 15 home runs, 31 stolen bases, and a .745 OPS across 631 plate appearances on the season. However, Stott is also hitting just .249 with a .722 OPS since the All-Star break after hitting .301 with a .760 OPS in the season's first half. Edmundo Sosa will take over at second base and hit eighth versus Ortiz on Thursday in Philadelphia.

Tue Aug 29 202316:14Bryson Stott Resting Against Left-Hander
Philadelphia Phillies middle infielder Bryson Stott is taking the day off on Tuesday with the team facing Los Angeles Angels left-hander Tyler Anderson. With Stott sitting out, Rodolfo Castro will get the nod at the keystone and will hit seventh against Anderson. Stott has actually been strong against lefties in 2023, hitting .302 (38-for-126) against them with three of his 13 home runs. The 25-year-old former first-round pick has improved dramatically in his second MLB season, as he's hitting .294 (141-for-480) with 13 home runs, 27 doubles, two triples, 53 RBI, 25 stolen bases and 66 runs scored in 123 games. In nine games for the Phils, Castro is 2-for-18 with an RBI and eight strikeouts.

Wed Aug 9 202316:16Kyle Schwarber, Bryson Stott Resting Against Lefty
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder/designated hitter Kyle Schwarber and infielder Bryson Stott are both sitting out on Wednesday against left-hander MacKenzie Gore and the Washington Nationals. Trea Turner is the designated hitter and is batting leadoff, while Edmundo Sosa will start at shortstop and bat eighth for the Phils. Schwarber clubbed two home runs in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader, but he'll get a breather after playing in both games of the double dip. The 30-year-old left-handed power hitter has 30 bombs and 72 RBI, but he's hitting just .183 (77-for-420) on the year. Stott has been impressive in his second MLB season, slashing .302/.346/.438 with 10 homers, 44 RBI, 21 stolen bases and 56 runs scored in 107 games played.

Sun Jul 23 202319:11Bryson Stott Steals Three Bases On Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott had a big afternoon in an 8-5 win over the Cleveland Guardians in 10 innings on Sunday. Stott went 0-for-1 with four walks, a run, and three stolen bases in the extra-innings win. The 25-year-old infielder is putting together a solid season for the Phillies, slashing .304/.348/.436 with nine homers, 48 runs, 36 RBI, and 19 steals across 365 at-bats. His sprint speed ranks in the 87th percentile in the league according to Statcast, so he should have no trouble continuing to provide fantasy value on the basepaths as the season goes on.

Mon Jun 12 202318:51Bryson Stott Getting A Breather Monday
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott is getting the night off Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks and left-hander Tommy Henry. While Stott has been seeing heavy playing time at the keystone this season, the timing of his absence is interesting as he has collected five hits -- including a double and a triple -- with two runs and two RBI over his last two contests. The 25-year-old is up to a .292 average with five homers, nine stolen bases, and a .739 OPS across 274 plate appearances this season, putting him on the fantasy bubble in shallow leagues in the process. Veteran Josh Harrison will take over at second base and hit seventh against Henry Monday night in Arizona.

Sat May 27 202310:02Bryson Stott Wreaks Havoc On Basepaths With Three Swipes
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and piled up three stolen bags in a 6-4 win over the Atlanta Braves on Friday. The 25-year-old is on a roll recently, logging at least one in 12 of his last 13 games. Stott is also hitting .364 (12-for-33) with three homers, seven RBI, and nine runs scored over his previous nine outings as Philly's primary leadoff man. The former top prospect should be rostered in the majority of fantasy leagues as a fine source of runs, average, and stolen bases while atop the star-studded Phillies lineup.

Sat Apr 22 202313:50Bryson Stott Sitting Out On Saturday
Philadelphia Phillies infielder Bryson Stott is taking a seat on Saturday against the Colorado Rockies. The 25-year-old will ride the bench against left-handed starter Kyle Freeland. Stott has functioned well as the Phillies' primary leadoff hitter but the team doesn't have full faith in him against southpaws. He's slashing a rock-solid .344/.365/.452 with one home run, seven RBI, and three stolen bases over 93 at-bats. He's got a shot to come in as a pinch-hitter once Freeland exits Saturday's contest.

Sat Apr 15 202312:03Bryson Stott Seeing Time At The Leadoff Spot
Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott is enjoying a great start to the 2023 season, slashing .383/.393/.467 with three runs, four RBI, and three stolen bases. And thanks to his hot streak, manager Rob Thompson has penciled the 25-year-old in at the leadoff spot in four of the last five games. Stott failed to show off his offensive ability during his rookie campaign last year, batting .234/.295/.358 with 10 home runs and 12 steals across 127 games. But he has the potential to hit for average and power at the big league level with enough speed to steal double-digit bases. If the former top prospect can keep hitting and stays at the top of the lineup, Stott should provide fantasy owners with north of 80 runs in a solid Phillies lineup.

Mon Oct 31 202218:01Bryson Stott, Brandon Marsh Return To Game 3 Lineup
Philadelphia Phillies rookie shortstop Bryson Stott and outfielder Brandon Marsh are back in the starting lineup for Game 3 of the World Series on Monday against the Houston Astros and right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. Stott and Marsh have been sitting this postseason against lefties, but they'll be back in there on Monday. Stott is hitting seventh, while Marsh will bat ninth for Philly. Stott, a former first-rounder, has been a a scrappy hitter for the Phils near the bottom of the order this postseason. He's hitless in four at-bats so far in the World Series, although he does have three walks. In 12 postseason games, he's gone 6-for-34 (.177) with three RBI, three runs scored and six walks. Marsh is 5-for-31 (.161) with a homer, four RBI and three runs in 12 playoff games.

Fri Oct 28 202218:44Bryson Stott In Phillies Lineup For Game 1
Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Bryson Stott is in the lineup for Game 1 of the World Series, batting seventh and playing shortstop. Stott has been a fixture in the Phillies lineup for most of the postseason but has seen the bench against a couple of lefties. That could be the case again in this series, with lefty Framber Valdez slated to start Game 2 Saturday. Either way, Stott should see his fair share of playing time this series, and if he does sit he could still get into the game as a pinch-hitter. The 25-year-old hasn't been on fire this postseason, but has delivered his share of clutch hits. He has slashed .200/.273/.333 with three runs and three RBI in 30 postseason at-bats. Expect to see Edmundo Sosa get into the lineup against lefties if Stott does sit out.

Fri Oct 21 202218:16Bryson Stott Draws Into Phillies Lineup Friday
Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Bryson Stott is back in the lineup for Game 3 of the NLCS against the San Diego Padres on Friday. Stott and Edmundo Sosa have formed a platoon at shortstop for the Phils, with the former facing righties. So far this postseason, Stott has struggled, going 2-for-19 with no homers and just two RBI. Sosa has as many hits as Stott in just four at-bats, and there is a chance some adjustments in playing time are made should Stott continue to falter. For now, though, the platoon remains.

Philadelphia Phillies rookie shortstop Bryson Stott is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. Despite hitting left-handed, Stott had been seeing regular playing time against left-handed pitchers at the end of the regular season. Instead, Edmundo Sosa will get the nod at the 6 and will hit ninth against Braves left-hander Max Fried. Sosa hit just .227/.275/.369 with two home runs, 21 RBI, 26 runs scored and six stolen bases in 176 at-bats with the Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals during the regular season. He didn't record a single plate appearance in the two Wild-Card Series games against the Cardinals over the weekend.

Philadelphia Phillies rookie infielder Bryson Stott is starting at shortstop and is hitting third in the batting order on Thursday against the Cincinnati Reds and right-hander Justin Dunn. This is Stott's first time hitting third in his first MLB season. The 24-year-old is hitting .228/.288/.360 overall with eight home runs, 38 RBI, 41 runs scored and seven stolen bases in 311 at-bats, but he's been hot this month, going 24-for-74 (.324) with a homer, six RBI and nine runs scored in 20 games played. Sun Jun 5 202218:40Bryson Stott Crushes Walk-Off Homer
Philadelphia Phillies infielder Bryson Stott has struggled to find much consistency at the plate during his brief time in the MLB. However, Stott put together a huge hit during Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Angels. He crushed a three-run walk-off home run to give the Phillies a 9-7 victory. This blast was the rookie's second career home run of his career. Hopefully, this big hit will get Stott out of his slump, but fantasy managers shouldn't rush to pick up Stott.

Wed May 11 202214:23Bryson Stott Returns To The Lineup Wednesday
Philadelphia Phillies infielder Bryson Stott is back in the lineup on Wednesday for a matchup with the Seattle Mariners and right-handed starter Logan Gilbert. Stott previously had the day off on Tuesday. So far this season, the infielder is hitting .122 with a .163 on-base percentage in 43 plate appearances. He'll start at shortstop and hit eighth against the Mariners and Gilbert. Fantasy managers are probably better off looking elsewhere for streaming options given the matchup with Gilbert.
