Tue Apr 916:08Joan Adon Called Up To Start On Tuesday
Washington Nationals right-hander Joan Adon was called up from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday and will make the start against the San Francisco Giants on the road. Adon was brought up to replace right-hander Josiah Gray (elbow), who landed on the 15-day injured list. Depending on how long Gray ends up being out and how Adon performs in Washington's starting rotation, the 25-year-old could stick around in D.C., making him worth a look as a waiver-wire pickup in NL-only leagues. He has above-average velocity and gets frequent ground balls, although he had a rough 6.45 ERA with 24 walks and 48 strikeouts in 51 2/3 innings over 12 appearances (10 starts) for the Nats in 2023. Unless he shows more consistency than he has in the last three seasons in the big leagues, fantasy managers in mixed leagues can probably ignore him.

Fri Aug 11 202321:09Joan Adon Leaves Start Early With Injury
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Joan Adon was pulled from Friday's game against the Oakland A's due to an apparent leg injury before the fourth inning. Adon had let in two runs on two hits and two walks with three strikeouts over the first three innings. He has been a good source of strikeouts in his short time this season, but not a viable fantasy option besides.

Fri Apr 8 202217:02Joan Adon Expected To Start On Saturday
Washington Nationals right-handed pitcher Joan Adon is expected to start the team's third game of the season against the New York Mets on Saturday. Erick Fedde would follow him up as the team's starter on Sunday with Anibal Sanchez opening the team's second series of the year against the Atlanta Braves on Monday. Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reported the team's aforementioned intentions, explaining that Sanchez has a stiff neck after his flight north and needs a few days to recover. Adon made his MLB debut with the Nats last year. He only made one start and went 5 1/3 innings, allowing six hits, three walks and two earned runs while striking out nine.

Mon Oct 4 202113:51Joan Adon Solid In Majors Debut
Washington Nationals starting pitcher Joan Adon made his major league debut in Sunday's season finale against the Boston Red Sox and performed admirably, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks with nine strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. He left in position for the win, but the bullpen relinquished the lead. Adon appeared in 21 minor league games this season, 17 of which came at High-A. With a 4.97 ERA, it was unexpected that he should receive a call-up to the big league club, and he does not appear set to factor into the 2022 fantasy picture.
