Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic has confirmed that right-hander Carlos Rosa is headed to Japan.
Rosa is out of options and will not make the Diamondbacks' Opening Day roster. The 26-year-old right-hander has a 3.97 ERA and a 16/15 K/BB ratio over 34 major league innings between the Royals and Diamondbacks.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Carlos Rosa from Triple-A Reno.
Rosa posted a lousy 6.75 ERA over 15 appearances with the Diamondbacks earlier this season, but just wrapped up a perfect month of August with Triple-A Reno, tossing 14 1/3 scoreless innings to go along with a 19/6 K/BB ratio. The 25-year-old right-hander has always had the potential, so don't dismiss him as a potential late-game option down the line.

Rosa was cleared in order to make room for Wednesday's starter Barry Enright. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 6.75 ERA over 15 appearances with the Diamondbacks this season.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Carlos Rosa from Triple-A Reno.
Rosa was acquired from the Royals on May 1 for young shortstop Reynaldo Navarro. The right-hander had a 3.65 ERA and a 10/7 K/BB ratio in 12 1/3 innings at Triple-A Omaha before the trade and posted four scoreless innings at Triple-A Reno to earn the call-up to Arizona.

Diamondbacks acquired RHP Carlos Rosa from the Royals for SS Reynaldo Navarro.
Rosa, 25, will report directly to Triple-A Reno. He's a former top prospect and could find his groove with a change of scenery, as many others have. The righty had a 3.65 ERA and 10/7 K/BB ratio through 12 1/3 innings this season at the Royals' Triple-A affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska.
