Wed Feb 1421:53Austin Warren Inks Deal With Giants
The San Francisco Giants have signed relief pitcher Austin Warren to a one-year deal, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Warren flashed dominance as a rookie with the Angels in 2021 but has struggled since then, posting 5.60 K/9, 2.55 BB/9, and 2.04 HR/9 over two seasons. He will likely fill a depth role in San Francisco, keeping him off the fantasy radar in all formats.

Fri May 5 202318:48Austin Warren To Undergo Tommy John Surgery
Los Angeles Angels reliever Austin Warren will undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the remainder of the season and a large chunk of the 2024 campaign, as well. The right-hander was originally shut down from throwing for four-to-six weeks following an MRI on his elbow but it appears the injury is more severe than originally thought. While the 27-year-old hasn't had much success in 16 big-league appearances over the last two seasons, Warren did produce a tidy 1.77 ERA/2.09 FIP in the 2021 season at age 25. For his career, Warren owns a 3.55 ERA/3.76 FIP in 32 career appearances with six wins against zero losses in that time.

Wed Apr 26 202308:13Austin Warren Heading To The Injured List
Los Angeles Angels right-hander Austin Warren (elbow) is taking a trip to the injured list, according to Jeff Fletcher of the SoCal News Group. The 27-year-old felt discomfort in his elbow on Tuesday and will see how it feels in a few days. Warren has posted a 5.40 ERA and 1.20 WHIP with two strikeouts and no walks over just 1.2 innings thus far in 2023. In a corresponding move, the club recalled righty Chase Silseth from Triple-A. He hasn't pitched in the big leagues yet this season, but in 2022 pitched to a 6.59 ERA and 5.97 FIP. Silseth's been dominant in the minors, producing a 0.90 ERA with a 26.0% strikeout rate. However, fantasy managers can leave him on the waiver wire unless he starts to pitch in high-leverage situations.

Wed Aug 25 202119:39Austin Warren Lands On Injured List Wednesday
Los Angeles Angels relief pitcher Austin Warren was placed on the injured list on Wednesday, the team announced on Twitter. There was no injury designation for Warren, and it's unclear just how long he'll remain out. Since making his major league debut on July 29, he's been a solid option in deeper SV/HLD formats, going 1-0 with three holds, one save, a 1.69 ERA and 1.000 WHIP over 16 innings of work. Managers who have him rostered might as well stash him on the IL for now.
