Sat Apr 15 202313:57Connor Overton Placed On The 15-Day Injured List
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Connor Overton (elbow) has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow strain. The 29-year-old hurler got off to a horrible start this season, putting up an 11.45 ERA, 2.36 WHIP, and 9:7 K/BB ratio over 11 innings (three starts). Right-handed reliever Casey Legumina has been recalled from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move and will be making his major league debut whenever he enters a contest.

Mon May 23 202216:41Connor Overton Out 6-8 Weeks With Back Injury
Cincinnati Reds right-hander Connor Overton (shoulder) will be out for six to eight weeks after an MRI exam revealed a stress reaction in his lower back. Overton had been pitching through the injury and had allowed only five earned runs on 15 hits while walking seven and striking out 10 in his four starts for the Reds over 24 2/3 innings. The 28-year-old was scratched from his scheduled start against the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend. He wasn't extremely attractive to fantasy managers because of his low strikeout rate in limited action, especially while pitching for the lowly Reds. Overton won't be an option again for Cincy's rotation until after the All-Star break in July.

Wed May 18 202200:45Connor Overton Turns In Another Strong Start Tuesday
Cincinnati Reds pitcher Connor Overton continued his string of strong starts in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Guardians. Overton pitched 7 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts. The 28-year-old has come out of nowhere and now owns a 1.82 ERA, 10 strikeouts, and seven walks over four starts and 24 2/3 IP. The strikeouts have not been there and he has gotten hit hard, but Overton's stellar overall results remain intriguing. His next start will be a tough test against the Blue Jays on the road. Despite the strong numbers, fantasy managers should not trust him in his next start.
