Orioles signed OF Chih-Hsien Chiang to a minor league contract.
Chiang hit .263/.298/.416 with 11 home runs and 52 RBI in 125 games this summer for the Rangers' Double-A team. The 25-year-old outfielder is a native of Taiwan.

Chiang disappointed in his year and a half in Seattle, batting just .249/.281/.363 with seven homers between Double- and Triple-A in 2012. He's just 24 but will need to rebound to be considered a prospect again.

Mariners purchased the contract of OF Chih-Hsien Chiang from Double-A Jackson.
Chiang, 23, was acquired along with Trayvon Robinson this summer in the three-way Erik Bedard deal involving the Dodgers and Red Sox. The Taiwan native batted .302/.361/.537 with 18 homers, 86 RBI and an .897 OPS over 499 plate appearances at the Double-A level this season and remains an intriguing offensive prospect.

Mariners acquired OF Chih-Hsien Chiang from the Red Sox and OF Trayvon Robinson from the Dodgers in Sunday's seven-player, three-team Erik Bedard trade.
Chiang, a 23-year-old native of Taiwan, has posted a .338/.399/.647 batting line, 18 home runs and 76 RBI in 87 games this season at Double-A Portland. He has the chance to become a consistently productive outfielder for the offensively depressed Mariners.
