Podsednik, who will turn 38 in March, sat out all of 2013 but is willing to keep playing in the right situation. He batted .302/.322/.352 for the Red Sox over 63 games in 2012.

Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com reports that Scott Podsednik has stayed in shape and would be interested in playing in 2014 in the right situation.
Podsednik sat out all of 2013 but hit .302/.322/.352 for the Red Sox over 63 games in 2012. He'll turn 38 in March but could conceivably crack an Opening Day roster if given the opportunity.

Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN reports that the Twins still have interest in signing free agent Scott Podsednik.
After trading away Denard Span and Ben Revere this offseason, the Twins could look to add Podsednik to their outfield mix, as they currently have just Brandon Boggs available as a reserve outfielder. Podsednik didn't play in the majors in 2011, but hit .302/.322/.352 in 63 games with the Red Sox this past season. According to Wolfson, the Twins are no longer interested in free agent Ryan Sweeney.

The Twins are desperate for outfield depth after trading away Denard Span and Ben Revere. Podsednik hit .302/.322/.352 in 63 games with the Red Sox in 2012, and is expected to be seeking a minor league contract. According to Wolfson, the Twins have also reached out to free agents Ryan Sweeney and Brent Lillibridge.

Scott Podsednik went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Angels.
The swipe was Podsednik's seventh in 30 games as a Red Sock, while he's now hitting .370/.392/.457 through 101 plate appearances. Set to see a big uptick in playing time with Carl Crawford undergoing season-ending surgery, there's no reason for Podsednik to be on the wire in AL-only leagues.

Red Sox signed OF Scott Podsednik to a one-year contract.
He's getting a major league deal and will join the team Friday, with Ryan Kalish going back to the minors. Pods was dealt by the Red Sox to the D'Backs just a couple weeks ago but was released before playing a game for them. He batted .387/.409/.484 with a homer and six steals over 19 games in his first stint with the Sox.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Red Sox have signed Scott Podsednik to a major league contract.
Full circle in a little under two weeks. The Red Sox dealt Podsednik and right-hander Matt Albers to the Diamondbacks on July 31 for left-hander Craig Breslow. However, the D-Backs granted Podsednik his release two days later after he declined a minor league assignment with Triple-A Reno. Now the 36-year-old outfielder is back with Boston.

Podsednik has got in 16 plate appearances over four rehab games with Triple-A Pawtucket and appears to be back to 100 percent. But, even though he's batted .387/.409/.484 in his time with the Sox this season, it's possible he could be demoted once Carl Crawford and Jacoby Ellsbury return, which should be soon.

Podsednik hurt himself during Sunday night's game against the Cubs while grounding into a double play in the fifth inning. While Pods has played shockingly well for Boston, the Red Sox will happily swap him off the roster for the just-activated Cody Ross.

Scott Podsednik left Sunday's game against the Cubs with a mild left groin injury.
He injured himself while grounding into a double play in the fifth inning. Daniel Nava replaced him in left field. The last thing Boston needs is another serious injury to an outfielder, so the Fenway faithful are no doubt hoping for good news regarding Podsednik. He will likely be evaluated on Monday.

Scott Podsednik went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Marlins.
Podsednik is now sporting a cool .405 batting mark over his first 14 games with the Sox. He should continue to see plenty of at-bats with Jacoby Ellsbury and Carl Crawford on the sidelines and probably is worthy of carrying in deeper mixed formats.
