Mon May 22 202321:41Hunter Gaddis Throws Six Shutout Innings Monday
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Hunter Gaddis tossed six innings of shutout ball while allowing two hits, striking out four, and walking one in a 3-0 win over the Chicago White Sox on Monday. Gaddis was recalled from Triple-A earlier in the day for a spot start and looked good in the outing after struggling on the mound earlier in the season. Gaddis now has a 1-1 record, 5.26 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts over 25 2/3 innings of work on the year.

Mon May 22 202314:50Hunter Gaddis Scheduled To Start Monday
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Hunter Gaddis was recalled from Triple-A Columbus and is scheduled to start on Monday against the Chicago White Sox. Given Gaddis' performances in Cleveland's starting rotation so far this year, fantasy managers will want to avoid him to kick off the week against the division rivals. The 25-year-old has pitched in five games (four starts) for the Guardians and has a 6.86 ERA (3.85 FIP), 1.42 WHIP, six walks and 13 strikeouts in 19 2/3 innings pitched. He's also not worth spending much on as a waiver-wire pickup, as he could be sent back to the minors after Monday's start. Both Triston McKenzie (shoulder) and Aaron Civale (oblique) are getting close to rejoining the team.

Wed Apr 5 202314:50Hunter Gaddis Gets The Starting Nod Wednesday
Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Hunter Gaddis will start Wednesday's contest against the Oakland A's. It was a tough season opener for the right-hander in Seattle as he yielded four earned runs on five hits and a walk across just 3 2/3 innings of work. He struck out four in the outing and did not factor into the decision. When factoring in his two starts with the Guardians from last season, Gaddis now owns a 15.55 ERA across his first three MLB starts but fared much better at Triple-A last season where he hurled a 3.60 ERA and a 30.9% K% across nine starts. His second matchup of the season against a weak A's offense presents a far greater opportunity than his first in Seattle.

Tue Mar 28 202312:06Hunter Gaddis Expected To Enter Rotation
With Cleveland Guardians starter Triston McKenzie (shoulder, triceps) starting the year on the injured list, Hunter Gaddis, who is currently stretched out to 70 pitches, is the most likely candidate to take McKenzie's spot in the starting rotation. The Guardians could also choose to start Zach Plesac through the first turn, as he's currently scheduled to pitch in a minor-league game on Wednesday. Relievers Xzavion Curry and Michael Kelly are options to be added to the bullpen if Gaddis joins the rotation in Cleveland. Gaddis, 24, looked good this spring, but he probably won't go very deep into his starts early in the season and will be a pretty shaky streaming option in deep leagues and DFS. In his first 7 1/3 major-league innings in 2022, Gaddis allowed 15 hits and 15 earned runs.
