Thu Jul 24 201415:06Rip Hamilton has interest from multiple teams
Rip Hamilton said on Thursday that "there are opportunities for me... but I'm waiting for the right situation."
Hamilton also expressed his desire to play one more season in the NBA, saying "I think for me, personally, I have to see how my body responds after the summer. I want to play another year and hopefully get an opportunity to play on a team with a chance to win a title." Hamilton last played in the 2012-2013 season, where he averaged 9.8 points in 50 games played. It is unknown whether these opportunities will ever materialize for Hamilton, but he is clearly off fantasy radars moving forward.

Tue Oct 29 201315:24Report: Rip Hamilton contacted by seven teams
Rip Hamilton has reportedly been contacted by at least seven teams, but he's not expected to sign with a team until the "midway point of the season."
He shot just 42.9 percent from the field in 50 games with the Bulls last season. At this stage of his career he's a dubious fantasy option no matter where he lands.

Wed Oct 16 201319:13Wolves may be looking at Rip Hamilton
The Timberwolves are reportedly working the phones trying to sign a wing player and one name that has surfaced is Rip Hamilton, according to Darren Wolfson.
Hamilton isn't likely to offer much fantasy value regardless of where he ends up, but he could be a nice piece for the young Wolves.

Sat Jul 20 201309:51Rip Hamilton says he has 'several choices'
Richard Hamilton tweeted Saturday morning that he has "several choices" in free agency.
The Bulls waived Hamilton a little over a week ago in a widely-expected move. There was in Chicago for Hamilton considering the presence of Jimmy Butler and the addition of Mike Dunleavy. Hamilton didn't specify which teams he was choosing between, but we're not surprised there are a couple squads willing to give the 35-year old a shot.

Wed Jul 10 201319:47Bulls officially waive Richard Hamilton
Bulls waive G/F Richard Hamilton.
He had virtually no chance to remain on the team. The Bulls have already brought on Mike Dunleavy, and Jimmy Butler was one of the most improved players in the second half of last season. Hamilton's minutes dropped to just 21.8 per game last season, which is a far cry from his career average of 32.1. A few teams should be willing to give the 35-year-old guard a shot on a short-term contract.

Wed Jun 26 201311:22Report: Bulls shopping Richard Hamilton again
The Bulls are again unsuccessfully shopping Richard Hamilton.
Hamilton has a $5 million commitment next season, but the Bulls can buy him out for $1 million if done before July 10, a likely scenario considering Hamilton's stock around the league. He's dealt with serious injury issues during his Bulls tenure and seems likely to be playing elsewhere next year.

Thu May 16 201317:17Bulls expected to buy out Richard Hamilton
The Bulls are expected to buy out the final year of Richard Hamilton's contract for $1 million, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Chicago's other option is a $5 million salary in 2013-14 for a 35-year old who earned DNP-CDs in all but four of the Bulls' playoff games. It's not a surprise which way the Bulls are leaning. Mark this one in the category of the best scenario for both sides. Hamilton will try to find a job as a veteran shooter off the bench while the Bulls will look for some more consistency from perimeter, possibly in the form of free agent Kyle Korver.

Thu May 16 201309:09Richard Hamilton still complaining about PT
Richard Hamilton reiterated that he was "dumbfounded" by his lack of playing time in the playoffs.
Hamilton played 35.5 minutes in Game 5 on Wednesday and 22 minutes in Game 4, but he saw just 10 minutes combined prior to those two games in the postseason. "They kept me positive," Hamilton said. Referring specifically to Game 5, Hamilton said "it's crazy because playing 19 straight minutes, I haven't done that all season. Playing in the fourth quarter, I haven't done that all season." Expect the Bulls to buy him out for $1 million rather than picking up his $5 million option for next year.

Tue May 14 201309:08Richard Hamilton reiterates his health fine
Richard Hamilton reiterated that his health is fine, and the decision to drop him out of the rotation was Tom Thibodeau's.
"A lot of stuff in life you don't understand. This is what I was brought here for. To not play and not help my teammates is rough," he said. "I try to stay positive and not rock the boat." Hamilton had 11 points and four assists in 22 minutes in the Game 4 blowout loss.

Thu May 9 201310:07Richard Hamilton not happy with being benched
Richard Hamilton admitted he's not happy about being glued to the bench.
Hamilton hasn't played a single second in round two and saw just garbage time in the first round. "It's hard. I have to be honest," he said. "Just try to be as positive and give them advice from all the stuff that I know about the playoffs," he added. Hamilton's deal calls for a team option for next season or a $1 million buyout, and we'd suspect that the buyout is in the best interest of both parties. The veteran hopes to play for at least two more seasons, but his time in Chicago is likely over after this season ends.

Tue Apr 23 201308:08Richard Hamilton still working way back
Richard Hamilton, who played only seven minutes in Game 1 and did not play in Game 2, is still working his way back from his back injury.
"He missed a chunk of the season down the stretch," Thibodeau said. "And then we tried to get him some games at the end just so he can get his rhythm back. A big part of it is his game is that. It's the timing and rhythm or catch and shoot. We just have to be patient and as time goes on we get healthier." Hamilton is unlikely to be a major factor during the postseason and Jimmy Butler is locked in as the starting shooting guard.

Mon Apr 15 201322:33Hamilton returns to action after suspension
Richard Hamilton returned from his one-game suspension for throwing an elbow in Friday's game, playing 13 minutes on his way to two points and one assist on Monday.
Unless a very clear path to minutes presents itself for the finale, owners can shut the book on Hamilton's invisible fantasy season.

Sat Apr 13 201321:18Rip Hamilton suspended for Sunday's game
Rip Hamilton has been suspended one game for throwing an elbow at DeMar DeRozan on Friday.
He will sit out Sunday's game at Miami, but he should be in uniform vs. the Magic on Monday and the Wizards on Wednesday. He's playing through a bulging disc in his back and a game off isn't the worst thing for his health. His minutes will be absorbed by Jimmy Butler, Kirk Hinrich, Nate Robinson and Marco Belinelli.

Sat Apr 13 201311:11Richard Hamilton not pleased with flagrant-2
Richard Hamilton doesn't think he should've been ejected for elbowing DeMar DeRozan during Friday night's game.
Hamilton was handed a flagrant-2 foul and ejected midway through the third quarter. "I probably deserved an offensive foul, but they could have called a foul first on him for bumping me. ... I believe that was nowhere near worthy of an ejection," Hamilton said after the game. Hamilton, who's likely on somewhat of a minutes count, ended up playing just 15 minutes.

Fri Apr 12 201320:59Rip Hamilton ejected for flagrant-2 foul
Richard Hamilton received a flagrant-2 foul in Friday's game and was ejected.
He gave DeMar DeRozan an elbow and the refs opted to go with a flagrant-2. Hamilton was probably going to be on a minutes limit in the second game of a back-to-back, so it's kind of a blessing in disguise as long as he doesn't get fined. Rip finished with seven points in 15 minutes vs. the Raptors.

Fri Apr 12 201309:27Richard Hamilton's back injury a bulging disc
Richard Hamilton's back injury has been revealed to be a bulging disc.
Now we finally know why Hamilton was sidelined with a mysterious back injury for nearly two months, and it makes a lot more sense now. Fortunately for the Bulls he's able to play through it right now, but it could flare up at any time and force him out of action with the postseason looming.

Thu Apr 11 201323:51Rip Hamilton scores 14 off the bench
Richard Hamilton had his biggest contribution to the Bulls in two months, scoring 14 points with three boards, eight assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes on Thursday.
He made his first triple since January 26 and this line was a mild shock considering he scored just four points in 14 minutes on Tuesday. Hamilton is very unlikely to have a repeat performance the rest of the way, but the Bulls have to be pleased with his showing tonight.

Wed Apr 10 201309:09Rip Hamilton (back) feeling good after return
Richard Hamilton confirmed that he felt good after returning from his back injury on Tuesday.
It was the first time Hamilton took contact since he was sidelined in late February, so it's a positive sign he didn't have any issues. "My conditioning won't be a problem," he said. "It's just timing and rhythm." His playing time will gradually increase but the Bulls will do everything necessary to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Wed Apr 10 201300:30Rip Hamilton scores four in return to action
Rip Hamilton returned from a back injury and had four points in 14 minutes on Tuesday.
The Bulls are simply trying to get him some run before the playoffs, but just because he's back in action doesn't mean he should be in most fantasy lineups.
