Kohn was placed on the DL at Triple-A Gwinnett due to a strained right shoulder, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Kohn, who was optioned to Triple-A last week, will be on the shelf for a couple of weeks, ruling out any chance that he'd be called up for another major league stint.

Kohn has decently solid career ERA (3.67), but that comes with an FIP of 4.93 that screams regression. He can get strikeouts, averaging nearly a K per inning, but his walk rate and horrible and could lead to some rough innings for Atlanta.

The veteran righty has some significant control issues, and doesn't figure to see many high-leverage looks even if he is able to pitch his way back to the big leagues. Look for him to start the year in Triple-A.
