He was last spotted in the NBA during the final month of the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season and played 12 games with the Wizards before spending the last three years internationally.

The Knicks plan to release Kurt Thomas to clear space for Jones, but the original plan was to release Thomas for Singleton, meaning Singleton's deal could be about to fall apart.
