Powell agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the Bucks on Saturday, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.

Powell had previously served on the Rockets coaching staff since last October, but he'll apparently give that job up for another chance at seeing the court in an NBA game. Given that the deal is non-guaranteed, don't expect an easy road for the 32-year-old to make the team.

Powell was waived by the Rockets on Thursday, Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston reports.

Powell played in only one preseason game and will look to catch on with another team before the regular season. He played one game for the Rockets in 2013-14, spending the previous two seasons overseas.

He joins Earl Clark and Wilson Chandler as players that have put pen to paper to play in the CBA.
