Powell agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the Bucks on Saturday, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.
Powell had previously served on the Rockets coaching staff since last October, but he'll apparently give that job up for another chance at seeing the court in an NBA game. Given that the deal is non-guaranteed, don't expect an easy road for the 32-year-old to make the team.

The Rockets plan to sign Josh Powell for the rest of the season.
The Rockets are looking to add another big man and would probably be best suited to get a player out of the NBA so he can be eligible for the playoffs. Powell has been out of the NBA since 2010-11 and has played on five teams since 2005-06.

Powell hasn't played an NBA game since 2010-11 with the Hawks, when he averaged 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in 12 minutes per game. He had a quiet season for Olympiakos in Greece last season and won't be a fantasy asset no matter where he lands.

Former Lakers big man Josh Powell will work out for the Pelicans on Thursday, according to HoopsHype.

Tue Mar 20 201210:12Josh Powell draws interest form Suns, Celtics
Josh Powell is drawing interest from the Celtics and Suns.
There was a report in early March that Powell had signed in Switzerland, but he's reportedly back in the United States and "weighing his options." The Celtics make a lot more sense than the Suns with how desperate Boston currently is for size, but Powell won't have fantasy value no matter where he lands.

Mon Sep 5 201111:50Josh Powell signs with Liaoning in China
Josh Powell has signed with Liaoning in China.
Powell was an unrestricted free agent after spending last season with Atlanta, and he likely didn't want to risk of a consistent pay check by waiting for the labor dispute to be settled. Powell is one of those players that's far more valuable to his team than he is to any fantasy roster. The earliest we could see Powell in the NBA will be 2012-13, as there will be no out clauses in his contract. He joins Earl Clark and Wilson Chandler as players that have put pen to paper to play in the CBA.

Wed Mar 16 201100:33Powell not suspended after arrest
Josh Powell was not suspended following his arrest before Saturday's game, and played six minutes with one rebound to his credit on Tuesday.
Clearly, he has no fantasy value in his limited role, even if you're in a 30-team league.

Sat Mar 12 201122:45Powell arrested on way to stadium before game
Josh Powell was arrested on his way to the Hawks' game on Saturday, and as a result he did not play.
He failed to obey on officer when an emergency vehicle needed passage on a busy intersection, or at least that's what we know right now. This sounds minimal in the scheme of player arrests, and either way Powell has no fantasy value at this time.

Sun Jan 30 201101:31Powell gets first game action on Saturday
Josh Powell got his first action since being suspended by the Hawks for one game last week, playing seven minutes on his way to four points on 2-of-2 shooting, three rebounds, and one assist.
He was barely producing enough to be owned in a 30-team league before the trouble, and needless to say he's not worth watching, even in most deeper formats.

The Hawks have suspended Josh Powell one game for conduct detrimental to the team.
No word on what exactly Powell did or said, but we're guessing his frustration got the best of him following Friday's near-historic blowout loss.

Josh Powell left Saturday's game after suffering a knee injury and did not return, finishing with eight points on 3-of-3 shooting with no rebounds, two assists, and a block in 11 minutes.
If this injury is serious the Hawks will become very thin in their frontcourt, and Josh Smith and Al Horford will be hard to bring off the court. We'll let you know as soon as we have an update.
