Thu Jul 25 201318:51Adam Morrison joins Gonzaga coaching staff
Adam Morrison retired from professional basketball and has joined Gonzaga's men's basketball coaching staff as an assistant.
Morrison washed out of the NBA before last season and attempted to catch on with a European team. It's a strange end to a career that never really took off after Morrison was the third overall pick in 2006. Now he returns to the school that made him famous, where he'll be a student assistant to start.

Adam Morrison, who was waived by the Blazers before the regular season, is now exploring his European options.
Morrison said that he would retire if he didn't make Portland's roster, but that's clearly not the case. "We are looking for a good Euroleague or Eurocup situation for (Adam)," his agent said. Morrison's ultimate goal is to return to the NBA.

Fri Oct 26 201218:37Morrison, Karl and Holiday waived by Blazers
The Blazers will waive F Adam Morrison, G Coby Karl and F Justin Holiday.
They will no longer practice with the team and the moves put the Blazers at 15 rostered players. Karl made the biggest impression in camp, and it's possible he could be signed to some 10-day contracts later this season. Morrison averaged just three points in five preseason games for Portland, likely signaling the end of his disastrous career.

Wed Oct 17 201210:28Adam Morrison competing for final spot
Adam Morrison and Sasha Pavlovic are competing for the final roster spot on the Blazers.
Neither guy is going to be worth owning in fantasy, but we'd love to see Morrison win a spot on the Blazers as it would make for a great story.

Wed Oct 3 201208:49Adam Morrison to retire if cut in camp
Adam Morrison said that he would retire if he doesn't make the Trail Blazers.
"I'm going to finish school and start coaching (If he didn't make the Trail Blazers roster)...I did the Europe thing and it just wasn't for me," he said. "It's not that bad. Ok, it didn't go well, but it's not like I'm destitute, and broke, and homeless. There's a lot of people who have had worst things happen than not making it in a certain career." Morrison seems at peace with himself and it will be fascinating to see if he sticks with the team, as he reportedly has a legitimate chance to make the roster.

Tue Sep 25 201212:58Adam Morrison has chance to make Blazers
Adam Morrison "will be given a chance" to make the Blazers roster.
Apparently, Morrison isn't just a cam body, and the Blazers view him as someone legitimately capable of making the team. It would be a mild surprise to see him make the final roster, but even if he does, he's not on the fantasy radar.

Mon Sep 17 201221:22Blazers sign Morrison to make-good deal
The Blazers signed Adam Morrison to a make-good deal for training camp on Monday.
Even though the Blazers have depth issues up front, Morrison has physical limitations and lacks playmaking ability. And besides, already have a younger, better version of Morrison in Luke Babbitt, and he's not likely to do much this season, either.

Mon Sep 17 201218:31Blazers invite Adam Morrison to camp
The Blazers have invited Adam Morrison to their training camp on a non-guaranteed contract.
Morrison has a long way to go to prove he belongs on an NBA roster, though he played well in eight games in Turkey last season, averaging 11.8 points in just 22 minutes per game, while shooting 37.5 percent from behind the arc. Even if he makes the roster, he's not a fantasy option.

Tue Nov 29 201121:33Report: Adam Morrison heading back to U.S.
Adam Morrison averaged 15.5 ppg for Red Star Belgrade in Serbia and was let out of his contract in a "good faith" gesture.
Now he's reportedly heading back to the U.S. with renewed confidence and is hoping to land back in the NBA. He actually played well enough and with a competitive spark that will be intriguing to a lot of GMs. But it would be surprising to see him end up with a guaranteed contract, or fantasy value, for that matter.

Tue Oct 18 201117:03Adam Morrison tearing it up in Serbia
Adam Morrison has been playing very well for Red Star Belgrade in Serbia, and hit 12-of-19 shots for 30 points in a recent loss to Union Olimpija.
Morrison is averaging 18.7 points after three games, which is good enough for No. 5 in the ABA thus far. He has no opt-out clause, but if things continue to go this well for him overseas, it's possible he could return to the NBA one day.

Mon Sep 12 201118:42Adam Morrison officially heading to Serbia
Adam Morrison has signed a one-year deal with Red Star Belgrade (Crvena Zvezda) to play in Serbia.
There is no opt-out clause, meaning he'll be in Serbia for a full season, but it's not like there were going to be a lot of professional opportunities available in the states anyway. He'll try to log some serious minutes in Serbia and fight his way back into the NBA.

Fri Sep 9 201114:29Adam Morrison close to signing with Belgrade?
Adam Morrison is reportedly close to a deal with the team Red Star (Crvena Zvezda) in Belgrade.
Morrison isn't considered a commodity in the NBA these days, so his decision to sign overseas was practical and probably had little to do with the lockout. After being drafted No. 3 overall in 2006, Morrison struggled to adjust to the NBA (37% FG for his career) and blew out his knee in October of 2007.

Thu Jul 7 201103:48Adam Morrison heading to Europe?
Adam Morrison has been working out at Gonzaga and could be ready to play in Europe this season.
And since none of the teams in the NBA seem to want him, this makes perfect sense. Kwame Brown catches a lot of heat for being a huge draft-day bust, but Morrison came in with star power and left with everyone questioning his ability to the play the game. A major knee injury/surgery didn't help things, and we might have seen the last of him in the NBA.

Thu Oct 21 201015:54Wiz release Morrison, Marks
The Wizards have waived Adam Morrison and Sean Marks.
Morrison has turned out to be a big NBA bust, although a serius knee injury is partly to blame. But if he can't play for Charlotte, you have to wonder if he can still play in the NBA.
