Mon Nov 24 201421:37Brown waived by Heat on Monday
Brown was waived by the Heat on Monday, the Heat's official site reports.
Brown appeared in just five of a possible 14 games with the Heat this season, averaging four points and 0.8 steals in 18 minutes. If an NBA gig can't be found, the D-League will likely come calling.

Brown's last appearance came against the Raptors on November 2, where he scored 1 point.
Fast forward to today, the Heat's guard play is up in the air. They are struggling to find a rotation that produces on a nightly basis. While Bosh and Wade both produce consistently, it will be hard for any one else to earn minutes on the rotation as the coaching staff still tries to find a solution for its play making position. Shannon Brown is usually known for his high-flying finishing act, so his role on the team could be very limited at best.
Wed Aug 27 201416:33Brown signed one-year contract with Heat on Wednesday
Brown signed a one-year contract with the Heat on Wednesday, the Sun Sentinel reports.
Brown played sparingly for both the Spurs and Knicks last season, but represents an experienced player that can add to the Heat's wing depth. While he likely won't fill a significant enough role to sustain fantasy value is the vast majority of leagues, Brown's minutes could benefit from oft-injured veterans Dwyane Wade and Danny Granger potentially missing games here and there.
Wed Jul 23 201416:23Knicks waive Shannon Brown
Knicks waive G/F Shannon Brown.
They signed him for the rest of the 2013-14 regular season back on Mar. 20 and he was on their summer league team, but he had no real chance to make the team. Brown should wind up getting a camp invite somewhere, but not doing much in summer league certainly hurts his chances of making a team.

Thu Mar 20 201415:32Knicks sign Shannon Brown for rest of season
The Knicks signed Shannon Brown for the rest of the season on Thursday.
He's averaging a mere 1.8 points in six minutes per game since joining the Knicks in February, and his retention may stem from his time under Phil Jackson with the Lakers. He belongs on the waiver wire unless injuries strike down Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith.

Fri Feb 28 201400:36Shannon Brown scores six in debut
Shannon Brown played 16 minutes in his Knicks debut on Thursday with six points and two steals.
The Knicks are looking for some help on the wing with Iman Shumpert (knee) out for another week or so. Brown looks a little out of shape and is not going to see enough minutes to matter in almost any fantasy format.

Thu Feb 27 201411:21Shannon Brown could play vs Heat Thursday
Shannon Brown may see some minutes against the Heat Thursday.
The freshly-signed Brown is coming off a dreadful showing on a 10-day contract with the Spurs, but coach Mike Woodson said Brown will be available Thursday night if other players get into foul trouble. Fantasy owners would have to be playing in a 20-plus team league in order to even think about picking up Brown right now, unless their league awards extra points for being married to Monica.

Wed Feb 26 201409:14Knicks agree to sign FA guard Shannon Brown
The Knicks and free agent SG Shannon Brown have agreed in principle to a 10-day contract.
Brown and Earl Clark will both sign 10-day contracts on Thursday, making them available for seven games before their temporary deals expire. Even that hectic schedule can't make them appealing to fantasy owners, and Brown is coming off a forgettable 10-day stint with the Spurs during which he shot 28 percent from the field.

Sat Feb 22 201411:39Spurs weighing options with Shannon Brown
The Spurs have yet to make a decision on whether to sign G Shannon Brown for the rest of the season.
Brown wants to stay with the Spurs but is also garnering interest from other teams, while the Spurs want to see what free agents emerge once buy-out season is over. In short, Brown may or may not be back with the Spurs this season, according to Woj.

Wed Feb 12 201410:20Spurs re-sign Shannon Brown for 10 days
The Spurs signed SG Shannon Brown to a second 10-day contract on Wednesday.
Brown gives the Spurs some insurance off the bench but he's not a fantasy option while wearing the black-and-white uniform. In six appearances this season he's averaged just 2.2 points on 28.6 percent shooting.

Mon Feb 3 201413:57Shannon Brown (finger) available Monday
Shannon Brown will be available on Monday despite playing with a jammed middle finger.
Brown had his finger taped during shootaround and he has some swelling, but not enough to sideline him. He played 14 minutes in his Spurs debut and has negligible fantasy value even with Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Manu Ginobili out of the lineup.

Sun Feb 2 201401:03Spurs start Shannon Brown (of course they do)
Shannon Brown, who was signed on Saturday, started for Gregg Popovich and the Spurs on Saturday and had two points, two rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes.
Pop gave him the start in order to keep his bench rotation intact, but then again, he also has been starting random players from night to night with all the injuries the Spurs are dealing with. Brown may blow up for a big game or two in the next 10 days, but even if he keeps starting, he's not worth owning.

Sat Feb 1 201420:43Shannon Brown starting on Saturday night
Shannon Brown is starting against the Kings on Saturday night.
Coach Gregg Popovich is the best and the worst at the same time. Brown signed a deal today and he's replacing Othyus Jeffers from earlier this week. Jeffers played 15 minutes on Wednesday, so that serves as an expectation on Brown. Most owners can ignore him.

Sat Feb 1 201411:45Spurs sign Shannon Brown on 10-day deal
Spurs sign G Shannon Brown.
The veteran SG earns a 10-day deal and should jump right into the rotation for the short-handed Spurs. He scored 10.5 points per game with the Suns in 2012-13 but shot just 42.0 percent from the field, and only deep-league fantasy owners should even consider him as a waiver wire option.

Sat Jan 4 201419:52Shannon Brown close to signing in China
Free agent Shannon Brown is increasingly engaged with China offers.
He is still talking to NBA teams and will likely exhaust those possibilities before committing to moving his career overseas. Brown had some great moment with the Suns and Lakers in his career, but he probably won't be on an NBA team this season.

Sat Oct 26 201311:53Rumors: Shannon Brown may be headed to Lakers
If, as expected, Shannon Brown is waived by the Wizards, he will likely sign with the Lakers.
All of this is speculation for now as the Wizards have yet to waive the newly acquired Brown. Brown's athleticism and wing play would be a welcomed addition in Los Angeles, where he won titles in 2009 and 2010. However, for fantasy purposes he would remain irrelevant in all but the deepest leagues.

Fri Oct 25 201317:52Suns ship Shannon Brown to Washington
Shannon Brown has been traded to the Wizards.
He was barely going to contribute to the Suns and now he'll had to a team with a lot of young talent in Washington. Although, there's a chance the Wizards doesn't keep him. An interesting point is the Suns could have waived Brown back in June, but they kept him and cost themselves some money. Considering this deal and getting yet another first-round pick, it looks like another wise decision by GM Ryan McDonough.

Sat Jun 29 201318:03Shannon Brown not waived by Suns
The Suns did not waive Shannon Brown at the deadline and his contract will be guaranteed.
He will make $3.5 million next season. It's a little surprising the Suns brought him back after barely using him down the stretch. In April, he played just two games at an 11 minute-per-game clip and was clearly outplayed by guys like Wes Johnson. Brown won't be worth drafting in fantasy leagues.

Mon Apr 15 201310:43Shannon Brown still unhappy with his role
Shannon Brown reiterated his distaste for his current role with the Suns.
It's tough to blame him considering Lindsey Hunter looks overmatched and the entier Suns organization is riddled with questions. "I did what I needed to do as a starter and handled my business," he said. "For some reason, they want to cut my legs from under me." Brown went on to say he was lied to by "the people in charge," and it's hard to envision a scenario where he returns to Phoenix next year.

Wed Mar 13 201309:30Shannon Brown has no idea what his role is
Shannon Brown said "I don't know what's going on" when asked about his role on the Suns.
After sitting from February 19 through March 9, Brown was called to play eight minutes on Monday, scoring two points and grabbing one rebound. He's obviously not a fantasy asset in any format right now, but it's not a good sign for anyone in the Suns organization when players are making comments like this.
