Diawara played for the Heat from 2008 to 2010 before leaving the NBA for Europe. He's worked out for the Heat in the past but didn't end up with a contract. Most likely, they'll audition Diawara to see if he's worth a nonguaranteed contract and a shot in training camp.

Sun Aug 1 201010:25Heat not interested in Yakhouba Diawara?
Free agent forward Yakhouba Diawara has been working out regularly in Miami, but the Heat don't appear interested in signing him.
Beat writer Ira Winderman writes that this "could be a case of the Heat auditioning perimeter defenders during training camp, provided they accept non-guaranteed contracts." There is only one spot left on Miami's roster, so competition should be stiff.
