Fri Jun 13 201409:37James 'Flight' White could stay in Italy
Reggio Emilia is trying to convince James White to re-sign with the team for next season.
His only real impact in the NBA came in the dunk contest and he has played 8.7 minutes per game during his 67 NBA contests. Even though his Italian contract expires at the end of the month, Flight White's days in the NBA are probably numbered.

Tue Sep 17 201318:14James White signs with Reggio Emila
James White has reached an agreement with Reggio Emila in Italy.
His biggest highlight was in the dunk contest and played just 7.4 minutes per game last season. White did go out with a bang in the regular season with a 20-point game while the Knicks rested up for the playoffs, so he should have some success with the inferior talent.

Sun Jul 21 201308:46James White explores deals in China, Israel
James White met with representatives of Maccabi Tel Aviv in Las Vegas this week, and he's also 'explored' playing in China.
White won a championship with the Spurs in 2006-07, despite appearing in only six games that season. His greatest NBA success came last season with New York, when he averaged nearly eight minutes in 57 appearances, and all signs point to him heading back overseas.

Sun Jun 30 201314:28Knicks waive James 'Flight' White Sunday
Knicks waive James White.
His agent informed the media yesterday that White would be headed out of NYC and that his client has received interest from other teams and to play in China. White's biggest impact came in the dunk contest and the 30-year-old swing man wasn't in the rotation for most of the season.

Sat Jun 29 201316:35Knicks going to decline option on James White
The Knicks have declined the team option on James White for next season, according to White's agent.
White's agent added that there's some interest among NBA teams and he's negotiating with Chinese teams. James "Flight" White played just nine minutes in the playoffs and was only used as an emergency player throughout the season. He won't have any fantasy value.

Wed May 22 201308:15James White unlikely to return to Knicks
James White's agent said it's "unlikely" his client will return to the Knicks.
We'll file that under "obvious." White was glued to the bench for the majority of the season and it's not clear how he lasted with the team for the entire year. White's $1 million option is expected to be declined, and it's possible he'll go back overseas if he can't garner an offer in the NBA.

Tue May 14 201308:58James White will not be active for Game 4
James White will be deactivated for Tuesday's Game 4 vs. the Pacers.
This will have no impact on the outcome of the game, but it could be a sign that J.R. Smith (illness) is expected to play.

Mon Apr 15 201321:37James White scores 15 points in start
James White got his 15th start of the season on Monday and scored a career-high 15 points with seven boards, six assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 43 minutes.
We recapped his goose egg yesterday just to give everyone a heads up that he could have a nice game today and he didn't disappoint. If the Knicks rest everyone again on Wednesday, White could score in the teens and might be a spot-start again for deep leagues.

Sun Apr 14 201319:22James White gets three minutes Sunday
James White didn't score in his three minutes of action on Sunday.
The Knicks are going to rest some guys, so this is just a heads up for deep-league owners looking for an extra spot-start on Monday. He will likely get 20 minutes vs. Charlotte. Adjust accordingly.

Thu Mar 14 201308:18Report: Knicks could cut James White soon
The Knicks could cut or buy out James White in order to add another point guard to the roster, a source told ESPN New York.
The report throws out names like Delonte West and Sundiata Gaines, but it doesn't sound like anything is imminent at this time. Apparently, the Knicks need a fourth point guard to add to the mix of Raymond Felton, Jason Kidd and Pablo Prigioni.

Thu Feb 7 201317:41Report: James White picked for dunk contest
League sources confirm to ESPN NY's Jared Zwerling that James White will participate in the dunk contest during All-Star weekend.
White's dunking skills are the stuff of YouTube legend. He might be the prohibitive favorite heading into the contest even if returning champ Jeremy Evans participates this year. Hopefully White's mind-bending athleticism will finally help make the dunk contest watchable again, but we're not holding our breath.

Thu Jan 24 201318:42James White will start Thursday vs. Celtics
James White will get the start Thursday night against the Celtics.
With Ronnie Brewer out of the rotation, the Knicks have been experimenting with their starting lineups until Raymond Felton (pinkie) returns. White is expected to match up with Paul Pierce while Carmelo Anthony slides over to PF and matches up with, you guessed it, Kevin Garnett.

Fri Jan 11 201320:12James White is starting at shooting guard
James White will make his third start at shooting guard on the season for the Knicks on Friday.
Ronnie Brewer played just eight minutes on Thursday and he hasn't really done much to deserve the starting distinction he held to this point. James White has very little fantasy value in even the deepest of leagues.

Fri Jan 11 201318:40James White starting Friday
James White will start at shooting guard in Friday's game against the Bulls.
It looks like Mike Woodson has seen enough of Ronnie Brewer for now. White goes from a DNP-CD on Thursday to a starting role Friday. In two starts earlier this year, the journeyman defensive specialist averaged 3.0 points in 13.6 minutes.

Fri Dec 28 201209:52White, Smith could see minutes at point guard
James White and J.R. Smith could each see minutes at point guard with Raymond Felton (pinkie) sidelined.
Mike Woodson said that Pablo Prigioni's minutes "probably have to go up a little bit," but that's an obvious statement. Woodson knows he can't play Jason Kidd heavy minutes consistently, and said the team will "mix and match" in order to find the best balance while Felton is hurt.

Thu Nov 1 201212:33James White over his foot injury
James White is over the foot injury that limited him in the preseason.
It would be shocking to see him earn a consistent role in the rotation at any point.

Thu Oct 25 201209:11James White dealing with foot injury
James White left Wednesday's game with a foot injury and did not return.
The Knicks called it a sore left foot for White, but the swingman said he'd be ready for the opener. The injuries are quickly piling up in New York with less than a week until the regular season.

Sat Oct 20 201222:32James White plays 45 minutes for Knicks
With the Knicks resting nearly all of their veterans, swingman James White logged 45 minutes, scoring 16 points with four rebounds, five steals and five turnovers.
It's almost impossible to make anything of this fluke game, in which both teams rested tons of players, though we can say that White's hamstring injury is behind him. He could chisel his way into the bench rotation but there's too much competition to expect more than spot minutes.

Sat Oct 13 201222:41James White quiet in rare start for Knicks
James White got the start at SG for the Knicks on Saturday, but was held to just four points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes.
White shot 1-of-7 from the field and didn't do anything to improve his bid for the starting job, which Mychel Thompson had occupied until tonight. J.R. Smith could end up starting, and Ronnie Brewer and Iman Shumpert will further complicate matters once they're healthy.

Fri Oct 12 201212:32James White returns to practice on Friday
James White (hamstring) returned to practice on Friday.
White should be able to play in Friday's preseason game, where he will have a chance to show that he can start at SG until the Knicks get healthier at the position.
