Feliciano finally made it up to the majors last season as a 31-year-old but didn't really take advantage of the opportunity, hitting just .231/.276/.287 with no homers and three RBI over 108 at-bats. He'll likely give the team depth at Triple-A.

It sure looks like the Mets are preparing for the possibility that Jason Bay will need to go on the disabled list. We'll likely know for sure later today. Feliciano batted .291 with four doubles and two RBI in 55 at-bats during his first stint with the Mets this season.

Feliciano was sent down to make room for the returning Carlos Beltran. The 31-year-old rookie did just fine, hitting .278 in his first taste of the big leagues, but the Mets have to make room for their star center fielder. Feliciano is a nice story, but not really fantasy-relevant.

Mets purchased the contract of OF Jesus Feliciano from Triple-A Buffalo.
He'll take the place of Omir Santos on the 25-man roster. Feliciano, who turned 31 on Sunday, was batting .385/.426/.481 with one home run and 21 RBI with the Bisons, so he certainly earned the long-awaited call to the big leagues. He has little-to-no power, but automatically signifies an improvement over Gary Matthews Jr.
