Wed Sep 19 201208:10Report: Williams, Whiteside in T-Wolves mix
Sean Williams and Hassan Whiteside remain "in the mix" for the Timberwolves, according to ESPN 1500's Darren Wolfson.
The Timberwolves need a bargain bin big man and are shopping in the right department. If either player were signed, he would offer no fantasy value and would be an insurance policy behind Nikola Pekovic and Greg Stiemsma.

Tue Sep 11 201208:31Report: T-Wolves still talking Sean Williams
The Timberwolves still have unrestricted FA Sean Williams "on the radar."
It seems that Minnesota is interested in virtually any and every big man who may be willing to sign for the veteran's minimum as the team looks for a backup behind Nikola Pekovic and Greg Stiemsma. Minny has been linked to Williams, Anthony Tolliver, Mehmet Okur and Hassan Whiteside most notably, but none of those players listed would offer fantasy value barring injury to Big Pek.

Fri Aug 31 201214:55Timberwolves eyeing F/C Sean Williams?
The Timberwolves are said to be interested in taking a look at recently waived F/C Sean Williams.
GM David Kahn is supposedly talking to a number of agents about adding a post-player to Minnesota's rotation, but to sign anyone for more than the league minimum, they would have to trade or cut a guard first to make a signing fit under the salary cap. Anthony Tolliver, Mehmet Okur and Hassan Whiteside have also been mentioned as potential big man targets for the Timberwolves. Williams would not offer any fantasy value this season in Minnesota.

Wed Aug 29 201210:05Report: Miami Heat could add Sean Williams
The Heat "are bound to consider" Sean Williams after he was waived by the Rockets, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Stein is simply speculating here, but he notes that the team had previous interest in Williams and Miami is "in the market for bigs." Miami might add a big man for depth on a veteran's minimum deal, but there has been nothing to suggest the club will seriously consider Williams.

Thu Apr 19 201219:10Report: Celtics ready to sign Sean Williams
The Celtics are ready to sign F/C Sean Williams and waive Jermaine O'Neal.
Given the Celtics depleted front court (Kevin Garnett starts at center) the move makes a lot of sense. Williams last played in the NBA for Dallas and has been in the D-League. He would help Greg Stiemsma off the bench.

Fri Mar 9 201201:23Sean Williams looks good off Mavs' bench
Sean Williams, who was recently called up from the D-League, was impressive in 15 minutes off the Mavericks' bench on Thursday.
Williams had four points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks, and his energy was infectious. He shouldn't be monitored outside of the deepest leagues, especially since the return of Brendan Haywood and/or Brandan Wright could bump him off the active roster.
