The 36-year-old will help coach Italy in Panama later this year and is also expected to make some television appearances for SNY. He played for the Tigers, Rangers (twice), Blue Jays, Brewers and Mets during his career. New York released him last May and he hasn't played baseball since. A .291 career hitter, Catalanotto struggled to find at-bats even as a bench player in recent seasons. | ||||||
