The Indiana Pacers on Thursday signed veteran free agent point guard Aaron Brooks to a contract. Per team policy, no terms are released.The 6-foot, 161-pound Brooks is an eight-year NBA veteran who has played with Houston, Phoenix, Sacramento, Denver and Chicago. He was a first-round pick (26th overall) of the Rockets in 2007 after playing collegiately at Oregon.His best season was in 2009-10 when he averaged 19.6 points and 5.3 assists per game for Houston. Brooks had a great season for the Bulls as he averaged more than 10 points a game for the first time since the 2010-11 season. The Bulls seem to have a way of reviving the careers of small point guards and Brooks was no exception. He heads into the summer as a free agent and might be headed for a bigger payday as he only made the minimum this season. The Bulls have some cap issues, so Brooks might be moving on to a new team. He fantasy value will largely be determined by where he ends up signing.

Brooks has averaged 9.0 points, 2.0 assists and 2.0 three-pointers in the first two games of the playoffs for the Bulls.

Brooks has provided a nice spark off the bench for the Bulls despite only averaging 15 minutes a game. With Derrick Rose finally healthy, expect Brooks to have a limited role.
