Tue Aug 30 201100:20Update: Crittenton arrested on murder charge
Javaris Crittenton, implicated in the murder of a mother of four, was arrested by the FBI at an airport in California on Tuesday.
Crittenton appears to have peacefully surrendered to authorities. Following the issue of murder warrant, he booked a one-way flight to Los Angeles and was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. His lawyer maintains his innocence, but APD Maj. Keith Meadows articulated the prosecution's case: "It appears Mr. Crittenton observed who he thought was the perpetrator walking down the street. It so happens Miss Jones was walking down the street at the same time."

Mon Aug 29 201117:57Report: Crittenton to surrender, face charges
The lawyer for former NBA player and Georgia Tech star Javaris Crittenton said he has agreed to surrender to local authorities who've charged him in the shooting death of a 22-year-old mother of four.
Crittenton should arrive in the ATL "very early [Tuesday] morning," said attorney Brian Steel, where it appears he will try to prove his innocence. "Mr. Crittenton wants to clear his name," Steel said. "He's innocent of the charges." He's being charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in relation to the Aug. 19 shooting of 22-year-old Julian Jones, who was killed by bullets apparently intended for an acquaintance who was walking on the street with her near her home. This is by far the saddest lockout story out there right now, as it appears Crittenton's professional career is over, whether he's found innocent or guilty.

Fri Aug 26 201123:24Javaris Crittenton involved in shooting death
Javaris Crittenton, a free agent looking for an NBA job, is wanted in connection with an Aug. 19 shooting that left an Atlanta woman dead.
Crittenton believed he was shootiing at the man who previously robbed him in April, but instead struck 23-year-old Julian Jones, a mother of four who was walking near her home, in the leg with a bullet he fired from inside his SUV. She died later in surgery, meaning Crittenton will be charged with homicide. He's also the guy who got into a gun standoff with Gilbert Arenas while playing for Washington, so it's safe to say his NBA career is officially over. Crittenton is not yet in custody and is believed to be in Los Angeles.

Charlotte needs quality depth at PG, so this move speaks volumes about Crittenton's lack of developement since entering the league. It's doubtful that he'll wind up on an NBA roster this season, and it's guaranteed that he won't have fantasy value.

Sat Oct 2 201014:35Javaris Crittenton needs to work on PG skills
Javaris Crittenton is healthy and hoping to get an opportunity with the Bobcats this season, but coach Larry Brown said he needs to get lighter and fitter.
"I like his size and his strength," Brown said. "He's always had the ability to break people down and score. I think that's great, but we need a point guard to defend and get people into things." Brown is notoriously hard on his PGs and we're not optimistic about Crittenton's odds of making the team.

Mon Jun 21 201021:36Lakers looking at Javaris Crittenton
The Lakers are said to be interested in adding guard Javaris Crittenton to their summer-league team.
Obviously the Lakers aren't deep in the backcourt and Derek Fisher's future is up in the air, so it's possible that Crittenton could play for the Lakers this summer. Crittenton is currently suspended for his OK Corral move with Gilbert Arenas, but that could change by the start of the season.
