(AP) — The Memphis Grizzlies waived veteran forward/center Brandan Wright on Saturday.The 30-year-old Wright averaged 5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 13.6 minutes in 27 games this season, his third with the Grizzlies. F/C Brandan Wright has undergone successful arthroscopic ankle surgery and is out indefinitely, the team announced Wednesday. Wright, 29, underwent arthroscopic debridement of his left ankle Tuesday after non-surgical interventions failed to eliminate his posterior tibialis tendinopathy, the Grizzlies said in a news release. There is currently no timetable for Wright's return to the court, but he will begin rehabilitation in Memphis immediately.

G James Harden overcame a difficult shooting night to post a game-high 28 points, including one free throw with one-tenth of a second remaining, to lift the Rockets to a 93-92 win over the Mavericks on Sunday.Harden drew a foul from Mavericks G/F Wesley Matthews on a desperate drive to the basket immediately after Matthews' 3-pointer pulled Dallas even with 4.1 seconds remaining. Matthews fouled out on the play and Harden made the second free throw after missing the first to cap the victory.
