Fri Jan 20 202315:39Serge Ibaka And Bucks Exploring Trade Options
Milwaukee Bucks forward Serge Ibaka and the team mutually agreed to find the veteran big man a new home via trade as reported by Shams Charania. He's already away from the team and has been expected to remain away until a deal is done. Ibaka has only appeared in a total of 16 out of a possible 45 games and has only averaged 11.6 minutes per game. Even after getting traded to Milwaukee last season and averaging 17.8 minutes per contest over 19 games, Ibaka wasn't on any fantasy radars. If he's traded to a team that can actually use his services, fantasy managers should proceed with caution before adding him because he could play an end of the bench role until the playoffs.

Tue Jul 19 202222:16Serge Ibaka Officially Signs With Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have officially agreed to a deal with forward Serge Ibaka. The veteran forward finished out the 2021-2022 season as a member of the Bucks. He was the third string center behind Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis. That being said, Ibaka isn't expected to have much fantasy value with both of those players returning this season. The expectation is that Ibaka will have a limited role off the bench with Lopez and Portis in the mix. Possibly, Ibaka has some streaming appeal on nights where Lopez sits for rest purposes. Otherwise, Ibaka can be avoided on draft day until further notice.

Sat Jun 11 202222:26Serge Ibaka Plans To Play In The NBA Next Season
Upcoming unrestricted free agent Serge Ibaka plans to remain in the league next season. There was chatter that the veteran could be heading overseas to play. However, it appears there was never any foundation to those rumors. Ibaka has missed more than enough time over the years due to injury, and he finished his most recent season with Milwaukee, where the 32-year-old averaged only 7.0 points and 5.3 rebounds throughout 19 games. His best days are likely in the past, although he should have more than a few effective fantasy outings up his sleeve moving forward. Still, Ibaka will likely go undrafted in most formats heading into the 2022-23 campaign, as he isn't anticipated to be a consistent fantasy contributor, regardless of where he ends up.

Mon May 9 202218:47Serge Ibaka Will Miss Monday’s Game 4
Milwaukee Bucks power forward/center Serge Ibaka (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's contest vs. the Celtics. Ibaka combined to play just three minutes off the bench in Games 1 and 2, with the triumvirate of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis, and Brook Lopez holding down frontcourt duties. With Robert Williams III (knee) unavailable for Boston, it's unlikely that Milwaukee will need additional big men to step into the rotation. Despite Ibaka's extensive playoff rsum, it's unlikely that he will factor into fantasy considerations for the remainder of the Bucks' 2021-22 playoff run.

Thu Feb 10 202212:34Serge Ibaka Acquired By Bucks
Los Angeles Clippers center Serge Ibaka has been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in part of a four-team trade. This is a big move for Milwaukee who desperately needed another center. Brook Lopez (back) remains without a timetable, so Bobby Portis has been asked to play an increased role. Now, Milwaukee has someone they can give quality backup minutes to and give Portis more rest. Ibaka isn't likely to have standard league value in Milwaukee, but maybe he could have some deep league value. It all depends on how many minutes he plays in the rotation.

Thu Dec 23 202109:28Serge Ibaka Shows Signs Of Life Wednesday Night
Los Angeles Clippers forward/center Serge Ibaka made a good contribution in 20 minutes off the bench against the Kings on Wednesday, notching a season-high 17 points and five rebounds in a 105-89 win. He shot 7-for-9 from the field with a 2-for-3 record from downtown and completed his line with one steal, one block and three turnovers. Ibaka returned to the lineup this week, and he's looked pretty decent, but fantasy managers shouldn't get too excited, as the veteran is benefiting from the absences of Marcus Morris (health and safety protocols) and Isaiah Hartenstein (ankle).

Wed Nov 17 202121:16Marcus Morris Sr., Serge Ibaka Remain Out Thursday
LA Clippers power forward Marcus Morris Sr. (knee) and center Serge Ibakawill both be unavailable for Thursday's game against the Grizzlies. Morris has not played since Oct. 23 due to a left knee injury, while Ibaka is continuing to ramp up his activity level away from the team. Their absences in the frontcourt have funneled minutes toward Ivica Zubac and Isaiah Hartenstein, while Nicolas Batum (Achilles) has held down the starting gig as a stretch four. Until fantasy managers hear otherwise, both can be presumed unavailable as the Clippers have shown a desire to give them adequate time to be fully healthy before returning them to the court.

Sun Nov 14 202119:23Serge Ibaka Remains Out On Sunday Evening
Los Angeles Clippers forward/center Serge Ibaka (back) is out for Sunday's matchup against Chicago. The veteran has appeared in only two games since returning from back surgery but in an attempt to get him back up to speed, he will spend some times with the team's G-League affiliate. His stay shouldn't be too long, although even when he is ready to make it back, it's unlikely he will offer much from a fantasy standpoint right away. As a result, Nicolas Batum, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Justice Winslow should continue to see an uptick in minutes and production, although Batum should be the preferred option for fantasy managers.

Fri Nov 12 202120:54Serge Ibaka Remains Out For Saturday’s Contest
LA Clippers center Serge Ibaka (back) will not play in Saturday's game against Minnesota as he continues to work his way back to full strength from a back ailment. Ibaka appeared in two games off the bench over the past week, but in an attempt to get increased reps, he will instead appear in a G League contest. Having seen his scoring average dwindle to 11.1 points per game last season with the Clippers, Ibaka's fantasy value is somewhat up in the air upon his official return, especially with the emergence of Ivica Zubac at the center spot. While the two-time block champion has an impressive track record, until he shows a consistent scoring and rebounding ability this year, he can likely remain on the waiver wire in most season-long formats.

Sat Nov 6 202121:05Serge Ibaka Could Be Active Against Hornets
Los Angeles Clippers center Serge Ibaka (back) is no longer listed on the injury report. The veteran big man hasn't seen any live action since May of last season. He underwent back surgery this offseason, but it appears Ibaka is close to returning. The Clippers will almost certainly limit Ibaka and ease him back into action. It's unknown if his first game will be against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. However, Ibaka is off the injury report, which means his return should be soon. He isn't a must-have player in fantasy formats right now, but his status is worth monitoring.

Sat Oct 23 202120:22Serge Ibaka Ruled Out Against Memphis
Los Angeles Clippers center Serge Ibaka (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is not surprising news after Ibaka had offseason back surgery. He missed the season opener and will likely need multiple practices before getting back on the court. The veteran big man can be left on the waiver wire for the moment. It's uncertain when he'll get back on the court, but fantasy managers can ignore him for now.

Wed Oct 20 202120:16Nicolas Batum, Serge Ibaka To Miss Thursday's Opener
Los Angeles Clippers forward Nicolas Batum (personal) and forward Serge Ibaka (back) will miss Thursday's season-opener against the Warriors. Already down Kawhi Leonard (knee), the Clippers' frontcourt depth will be challenged early on in the season. Marcus Morris Sr., Ivica Zubac, and Isaiah Hartenstein should see all the minutes they can handle Thursday. Some usage could also trickle down to Terance Mann and Luke Kennard, both of whom have shown the ability to pick up the scoring slack in the absence of Leonard. Mann and Morris are likely the best DFS candidates of the bunch.

Tue Sep 28 202114:49Serge Ibaka Is Closer To A Return
Los Angeles Clippers center Serge Ibaka (back) mentioned that he is close to 100 percent healthy, but remains without a timetable. He underwent back surgery in June, which was an issue that cost him quite a lot of time last season. It's uncertain if the veteran big man will be ready for the start of the season. This would help explain the signing of Isaiah Hartenstein. Neither player is worth much of a look on draft day. Hopefully, Ibaka will return shortly after the season starts, but it's uncertain if he'll hold reliable fantasy value.

Sat Jul 31 202123:56Serge Ibaka Picks Up Player Option
Los Angeles Clippers forward Serge Ibaka exercised his player option on Saturday. The veteran will make nearly $10 million during the 2021-22 campaign by picking up the extra year. However, a back issue relegated him to only 41 games while averaging 11.1 points, 6.7 boards, and 1.1 blocks last season. After having surgery this offseason, Ibaka will hopefully stay healthy, and he could see an increase in fantasy production if he is given a more prominent role in the lineup.

Thu Jul 1 202118:45Clippers await Leonard's decision on contract option
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers’ season began in an empty arena with cardboard cutouts, COVID-19 tests, and protocols for everything. It ended with the team reaching the Western Conference finals for the first time in franchise history, even without injured superstar Kawhi Leonard. A masked Leonard watched from the bench as the Clippers lost to the Phoenix Suns in six games on Wednesday night. “Man, we just had a group of guys that loved playing with each other. Everyone was on the same page,” center Ivica Zubac said Thursday. The Clippers overcame 0-2 deficits in the first two rounds to beat Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks and Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz. Leonard sprained his right knee in Game 4 against the Jazz and didn't play again. Zubac also injured his knee and was forced to sit out the final two games against the Suns. The Clippers trailed that series 0-2 and 1-3 before closing to 3-2 and eventually running out of gas. Through the injuries, Paul George kept... [More]
Fri Jun 11 202118:24Clippers facing another 0-2 deficit as series shifts to LA
The Los Angeles Clippers find themselves in familiar territory — down 2-0 in their second straight playoff series and seeing one player outplay their two superstars. While the Clippers proved they could work their way out of a deep hole before, the challenges are steeper as they prepare to face the Utah Jazz on Saturday as the scene shifts to Staples Center for Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinal series. The downtown Los Angeles court, which has been the franchise's home since 1999, has not given them any advantages when it comes to the postseason. They have lost nine of their last 11 home playoff games. Last Sunday's 126-111 victory over Dallas in Game 7 snapped a eight-game home playoff losing streak. Paul George said after Thursday night's 117-111 loss that they are approaching this two-game deficit the same way they approached being down to Dallas. “We still feel we have a lot of possessions that we can clean up and a lot of possessions that are hurting us that’s our fault,”... Sat May 29 202119:22Lakers, Hawks, Mavs look to seize 1st-round control at home
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks all began their first-round playoff series at a home-court disadvantage. After moving ahead of their higher-seeded opponents with early-series road wins, all three are up 2-1 and in position to move to the brink of the second round Sunday. The stakes are similar in all four NBA playoff games on a tantalizing slate: Atlanta, Dallas and the defending NBA champions will attempt to seize firm control of their series at home, while the heavily favored Brooklyn Nets can do the same in Boston. Los Angeles, Atlanta and Dallas are probably aware of the massive statistical edge for NBA teams with a 3-1 series lead — only 13 of 260 teams in that situation have ever blown it. They also realize Phoenix, New York and the Clippers will play for a split with appropriate intensity. “It’s going to be probably the biggest game in this series unless, it goes to a Game 7,” Lakers forward Anthony Davis said Saturday. “We’re going in... Wed Apr 14 202118:28Clippers without 4 key players against Pistons
DETROIT (AP) — Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Serge Ibaka and Patrick Beverley are all out for the Los Angeles Clippers for their game at Detroit on Wednesday night. Leonard is out with a sore right foot, Ibaka has lower back tightness, Beverley has a broken left hand, and the Clippers said they will rest George for this game. Los Angeles beat Indiana 126-115 on Tuesday night for its sixth straight victory. The Clippers play at Philadelphia on Friday night. Rodney McGruder (sprained right elbow) and Dennis Smith Jr. (left knee inflammation) are sidelined for the Pistons. ___ More AP NBA: https://apnews.com/hub/NBA and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports.
Sun Dec 27 202014:21Kawhi Leonard out for Clippers against Mavericks
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kawhi Leonard won’t play for the Los Angeles Clippers against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. Leonard needed eight stitches in his mouth after accidentally getting elbowed by 7-foot teammate Serge Ibaka while going for a rebound in Friday’s win at Denver. Leonard was bleeding heavily when he left the court in the fourth quarter. Leonard was replaced in Sunday’s lineup by Luke Kennard for the Clippers' home opener at Staples Center. Coach Tyronn Lue didn't directly answer when asked about Leonard's prognosis. “Hopefully, he's fine,” the first-year coach said. Leonard had 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists on Friday. ___ More AP NBA: https://apnews.com/tag/NBA and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports
Fri Dec 4 202017:56Paul George: 'I want to retire a Clipper'
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Paul George grew up rooting for the Los Angeles Clippers and he loves playing close to home. He made it clear Friday where he sees his NBA future, saying, “I want to retire a Clipper.” “This is where my heart is and I’m happy,” he said. George’s first season back home ended in disappointment, with the Clippers blowing a 3-1 lead against Denver and losing in the second round of the playoffs. He averaged 21.5 points and 5.7 rebounds during the abbreviated season. George wasn’t able to train normally during the 2019 offseason or participate in his first training camp with the Clippers after shoulder surgeries. He missed the first 11 games of the season, too. “I’m my toughest critic,” he said. “I know what’s not good, what’s unacceptable. Last year was an unacceptable year for me. I know that.” George and teammate Kawhi Leonard can become free agents after the upcoming season. New Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said he expects both players to be with the team for a long time....
