Thompson made his preseason, and Warriors, debut Thursday night against Portland. He had two points, seven rebounds and one blocked shot in 15 minutes.

Thompson, who sat out the preseason opener Tuesday, got run in both halves but is still learning the ball-motion offense. He's a bit hesitant with respect to taking shots, but he was a presence inside with the boards and blocks.

Thompson will be making his preseason debut with the Warriors on Thursday against the Trail Blazers, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Thompson did not play in the preseason opener Tuesday, something that jumped out at us immediately. There's been some training-camp buzz about James McAdoo, who is competing for the same backup power forward/center playing time as Thompson and Marreese Speights, so we'll be monitoring this position battle throughout the preseason.

Thompson did not play in Golden State's preseason opener Monday, but will get lengthy stretches of playing time in the next preseason game, according to interim head coach Luke Walton, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Thompson is competing with several others looking for backup minutes at power forward and center.

Thompson was traded to the Warriors on Friday.

Just a month after being traded to the Sixers, Thompson is on the move again in exchange for Gerald Wallace, cash and draft considerations. Thompson is still working to refine his offensive game, but he is a solid rebounder and defender down low. He averaged 6.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 25 minutes for the Kings last season and will add some solid frontcourt depth for the Warriors.

Thompson was traded to the 76ers Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports.

Thompson and teammate Carl Landry are headed to Philadelphia to clear cap space for the Kings. He averaged 6.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 25 minutes per game during the 2014-15 season. He played in 81 of the 82 regular season games.

With DeMarcus Cousins sidelined with a variety of lower body injuries, Thompson has had some modest fantasy value. He should be a solid play on Wednesday in the Kings' regular season finale, the second game of a home-and-home against the Lakers.

Thompson started at center for DeMarcus Cousins who was out with a foot injury and scored 12 points (5-13 FG, 2-2 FT) with 11 rebounds, three assists and one block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Jazz.

It seems very unlikely that Cousins will return again for the remaining few matches, so if you are in need of some scoring and rebounding then Thompson is a pretty good option.

Thompson will start at center Wednesday against the Jazz, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Thompson gets the nod Wednesday after DeMarcus Cousins (foot) was ruled out earlier Wednesday. In three starts at center this season, Thompson has averaged 7.3 points and 7.7 rebounds over 26 minutes.

Thompson recorded eight points, eight rebounds, one assist, and two blocks in 27 minutes as a starter in Friday's game against the Hornets.

Thompson moved into the starting center role with DeMarcus Cousins (calf) a late scratch Friday. Cousins seems to be close to a return so Thompson may not ultimately see extended time in the starting lineup.

Thompson will start at center Friday against Charlotte, Cowbell Kingdom reports.

Thompson scored 18 points (7-7 FG, 4-4 FT) with three rebounds, two assists and a block in 24 minutes off the bench Monday.

He's been getting fairly steady minutes in the Kings' frontcourt since George Karl took the reins, but Thompson isn't likely to have another perfect shooting night any time soon. He can safely be left on your waiver wire in most leagues.

Thompson contributed seven points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one block in just 14 minutes during Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Thompson lost his spot in the starting lineup to Carl Landry and it's still unclear whether or not this will be a permanent fixture moving forward. Either way, Thompson is only averaging 23.4 minutes over his last 20 games, relegating his viability to deeper leagues.

Thompson is coming off the bench Monday against the Hawks, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Thompson will cede his starting power forward spot to Carl Landry, who projects as a better matchup versus the Hawks' Paul Millsap. Thompson has started the last eight games, but he's averaging only 5.4 points and 5.8 rebounds over that span.
