Hill notched 10 points (5-7 FG), seven rebounds, and three blocks in Thursday's preseason win over the Magic.
Hill submitted his best performance of the preseason Thursday, but so did Ian Mahinmi (eight points on 4-for-4 shooting, nine rebounds), his chief competition for the Pacers' starting center job. Mahinmi's greater familiarity with coach Frank Vogel in addition to his superior defensive abilities probably give him the leg up on winning the role, but Hill clearly has more fantasy upside of the two players due to his willingness to look for his own shot and knock down free throws at a respectable clip. Even if Hill doesn't win the starting gig, the playing time distribution between the two players should be relatively even, and if Mahinmi goes down with an injury, Hill could quickly become a must-own player in any format. He was a nightly threat for double-doubles while seeing a career-high 26.8 minutes per game with the Lakers last season, finishing the campaign with averages of 12 points and 7.9 rebounds.

Hill was arrested for reckless driving and speeding near Atlanta on Friday, announcer Scott Agness reports.
Hill doesn't seem to be in any danger of being suspended by the NBA since initial reports indicate his only wrongful action was speeding. The Pacers have yet to issue a statement on the matter but early indications suggest the upcoming season will carry on in normal fashion for Hill.
Thu Jul 9 201520:36Hill agreed to contract with Pacers on Thursday
Hill agreed to a contract with the Pacers on Thursday, Sporting News reports.
The details of the contract have yet to be released, but Hill will essentially trade spots with Roy Hibbert, despite not actually being a part of the Hibbert deal. With the departure of Hibbert and David West in free agency, the Pacers were in need of some more frontcourt help. Hill fits that need, as he'll now fight for minutes and a starting spot with the likes of Ian Mahinmi, Myles Turner and Lavoy Allen. Last season with the Lakers, Hill averaged 12.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists over 27 minutes per game.

Hill will head into free agency after the Lakers decided not to pick up his option for the 2015-16 season, Baxter Holmes of ESPN reports.
Hill actually had the best statistical season of his six-year career last year in Los Angeles but he's apparently not a part of their long-term plans as the franchise regroups after a lackluster finish to their 2014-15 campaign. His departure creates more opportunities for Ryan Kelly, Tarik Black, and incoming rookie Larry Nance, while also allowing Julius Randle to step into the starting five after spending last year recovering from a broken leg. As for Hill's value moving forward, it's entirely dependent upon where he ends up as he could easily be a starter or a rarely-used bench player depending on the quality of his new team.
Fri Jun 5 201519:02Hill, in eighth NBA season, had most productive yet, putting up ...
Hill, in his eighth NBA season, had his most productive yet, putting up career-highs in points (12.0), rebounds (7.9) and minutes (26.8) in 70 games played for the Lakers. His field goal percentage, however, dipped a bit from last season, as he shot just 46 percent after posting a career-best 55 percent last season. This may have been in large part because Hill was looked at to carry a struggling Los Angeles team on offense more than usual, but nevertheless, he continues to progress as a rebounder and overall presence inside. His future with the Lakers is in question, though, as he has a $9 million team option for the 2015-16 season.
After rookie forward Julius Randle went down with a torn ACL in the first game of the regular season, the team looked at Hill to be their most productive member of the frontcourt, and, for the most part, he did not disappoint. Hill posted 22 double-doubles on the year and had a great eight-game stretch in November where he recorded seven double-doubles and averaged 13.6 points and 11.0 rebounds. While Hill was unable to keep that up on a game-by-game basis, he still remained effective through most of the season as a rebounder and a scorer on the block. His future is now in question, however, as the Lakers have to decide whether or not they want to exercise their $9 million team option they have for Hill next season. But, even if they do exercise the option, it is very likely they will look to trade him. Los Angeles is in rebuilding mode for the first time in a long time, and with Hill being 27 years old, he won't really fit into the process. Also, it is more than likely the team drafts either Karl Anthony-Towns or Jahlil Okafor in this year's draft, so they will have one of those guys serve as their center of the future over Hill.

Hill scored 18 points (9-19 FG) with six rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes during Monday's loss to the Kings.
He responded well to his last-minute parole from coach Byron Scott's doghouse. Unless he gets sent back to the bench, Hill should provide decent value in the Lakers' regular season finale on Wednesday in a repeat match against Sacramento.

Hill was a last second addition to Monday's starting lineup against the Kings.
Hill hasn't even played the last four games but will get the starting nod Monday. He replaced Ed Davis in the starting five.
Mon Apr 13 201514:10Hill remains in coach Bryon Scott's dog house
Hill remains in coach Bryon Scott's dog house, with Scott indicating he needs to change his offseason workout regimen to avoid fatigue late in the season, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
While Hill has posted career-highs in points (11.9), rebounds (8.0) and minutes (27) this season, he also struggled down the stretch and lost minutes to teammate Ryan Kelly. It's now been revealed that fatigue may have played a role in the shift, and a change in Hill's offseason workout may be an important factor in determining his playing time next season.
Wed Apr 8 201515:23Hill not in rotation for Tuesday's game against Clippers
Hill was not in the rotation for Tuesday's game against the Clippers.
Hill has been losing minutes to teammate Ryan Kelly. With coach Byron Scott experimenting with different lineups, it's hard to predict when Scott will decide to throw Hill back in the mix. He played just 21 minutes total in his two games leading up to Tuesday's benching, so even if Hill is in the rotation at all going forward, there's no guarantee he would play enough minutes to be of use in most fantasy leagues.
Sun Mar 29 201519:41Hill had big outing in return to floor Sunday
Hill had a big outing in his return to the floor Sunday. He led the team in both scoring and rebounding with 22 points and 16 boards in 27 minutes off the bench.
Hill had been held out of the Lakers' last three games, but didn't show any rust Sunday against Brooklyn. Still, counting on Lakers bench players can be a risky proposition moving forward as Byron Scott continues to experiment with different lineups.
Sun Mar 29 201514:31Hill will play Sunday against Nets
Hill will play Sunday against the Nets.
Hill was held out of the last three games to rest as the Lakers not-so-subtly attempt to ensure they do not have to send their top-five-protected first-round pick to Philadelphia. He'll return to action Sunday and is expected to see his usual workload of 25-30 minutes. Carlos Boozer, who has also been resting of late, will be held out again.
