Sun Mar 16 201419:00Eric Mayor waived by Sixers
Sixers waive G Eric Maynor.
After he looked great with the Blazers last year, Maynor just fell on his face this season. He can't score and is unlikely to get playing time with another team.

Sun Mar 2 201421:15Eric Maynor scoreless in 16 minutes vs. ORL
Despite playing 16 minutes off Philly's bench on Sunday, backup PG Eric Maynor went scoreless with one assist and three turnovers.
Lorenzo Brown is out with torn wrist ligaments and Maynor should continue to pick up decent minutes. He scored 13 points in each of the past two games, putting him on the radar in deep leagues, but those performances belie his season-long 34.4 percent shooting. Proceed with caution.

Sat Mar 1 201422:38Eric Mayor scores 13 points again on Saturday
Eric Maynor scored 13 points with five boards, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers in 18 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday.
He scored 13 points against the Magic on Wednesday thanks to some garbage time and did it again. You know the Sixers are bad when backup point guards can actually put up deep-league value because of the extended playing time in the fourth. It might backfire, but owners in deep leagues can think about using Maynor against very good teams like the Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Mon Feb 24 201417:32Eric Maynor will play backup point guard
Eric Maynor will play backup point guard on Monday night vs. the Bucks.
This move is very likely to stick and he seems to have leapfrogged Lorenzo Brown. Maynor is highly unlikely to see minutes in the teens and has no fantasy value, especially after a sub-par year in Washington.

Thu Feb 20 201413:11Eric Maynor headed to Philly
Eric Mayor was traded to the Sixers in a three-team deal on Thursday.
After he played very well with the Blazers last season, Maynor fell on his face with the Wizards this season. He is shooting 29.2 percent from the field and has played just 9.3 minutes per game as John Wall's backup. He'll have to compete with Tony Wroten for backup minutes and is not a pickup in almost all formats. The Sixers also received a second-round pick next year from the Wizards and a second-round pick from Denver in 2016.

Thu Feb 20 201412:24Eric Maynor likely to be shipped again
Eric Mayor has been included in a possible deal for Andre Miller.
He will likely be shipped elsewhere upon the Wiz-Nuggets deal's completion. Maynor has really fallen off a cliff after a somewhat promising 2012-13 season, so there's no reason to add him speculatively just yet.

Thu Oct 17 201318:29Eric Maynor will play vs. the Knicks
Eric Maynor (Achilles) will play against the Knicks on Thursday.
He missed Tuesday's game with a sore Achilles, but the injury is not considered serious. Maynor had an ACL reconstruction earlier in his career, but this Achilles issue seems somewhat isolated. He could get minutes at shooting guard behind Bradley Beal on top of backing up John Wall, but he's not worth drafting in most leagues.

Sun Aug 11 201317:15Eric Maynor could see time at shooting guard
Eric Maynor could see some time at shooting guard, according to the Washington Post.
Bradley Beal and Martell Webster are going to see the overwhelming majority of the time at the two. The talk of Maynor playing some shooting guard says a couple things: John Wall is going to see a ton of minutes and rookie Glen Rice Jr. will have a tough time seeing playing time in his first year. Maynor won't be worth drafting in most leagues.

Mon Jul 1 201320:03Eric Maynor agrees to deal with Wizards
Eric Maynor agreed to a multi-year deal with the Wizards on Monday.
The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed. The Wizards were in the market for a backup point guard and were really left out in the cold last season due to John Wall's knee injury. Maynor had a great second half with the Blazers last year and most concerns about his ACL surgery have subsided. The Wizards have Martell Webster next on their to-do list.

Mon Jul 1 201314:05Eric Maynor contacted by Wizards
Eric Maynor was contacted by the Wizards on Monday.
The Blazers didn't give him a qualifying offer thanks to drafting C.J. McCollum, so Maynor is an unrestricted free agent. Like most reports at this stage, there's no indication of how serious the Wizards are in acquiring the VCU product. He did a nice job reviving his career following 2012 ACL surgery, averaging 6.9 points, 4.0 assists and 0.4 steals in 21.2 minutes in 37 games with the Blazers last season.

Fri Jun 28 201301:24Maynor won't get a qualifying offer
Eric Maynor will not receive a qualifying offer from the Blazers this offseason, which would make him a free agent.
The drafting of C.J. McCollum makes him expendable and Maynor has lost a lot of the luster he had when playing in OKC. He'll need to show his knee is healthy and land in a good spot before fantasy owners should pay attention.

Thu Apr 4 201316:38Olshey says Eric Maynor evaluation complete
Trail Blazers GM Neil Olshey says he's finished his evaluation of point guard Eric Maynor but wouldn't commit to keeping him after this season.
Maynor, who will be a restricted free agent this summer, came to Portland in a mid-season trade and has done a solid job as Damon Lillard's backup. Olshey says he's happy with what he's seen but noted that "certain variables" will affect Maynor's standing with the team in the offseason. If he remains in Portland, Maynor won't offer a ton of fantasy value barring injury, but he could be worth something if he landed with a team that gave him significant playing time.

Mon Mar 18 201321:36Maynor scores four points with four assists
Eric Maynor scored four points on 1-of-4 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, four assists and one block in 17 minutes off the bench on Monday.
If you took the gamble on Maynor in the Blazers' five-game week, you're going to have to eke it out like this and if all goes well you'll get a mild surge at some point.

Wed Mar 13 201301:02Eric Maynor quiet in loss to Grizzlies
Eric Maynor hit 3-of-8 shots and zero 3-pointers for eight points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes of Tuesday's loss.
Maynor had been feeling it, but he scored just seven points on Sunday before tonight's disappointing line. The minutes are there, but owners should limit expectations as long as he's coming off the bench, which should be for the rest of the season.

Sat Mar 9 201302:52Maynor goes for 20 and six off the bench
Eric Maynor scored 20 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 8-of-11 shots (including two threes) with six assists and two steals in 23 minutes.
Maynor has made some mild noise lately and plays behind stalwarts Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews, but the Blazers have nobody at all behind their starting five and it would make sense that somebody steps up with some level of productivity. The Blazers also have a five-game week not next week but the week after that, and that makes Maynor worth a look in many formats.

Tue Mar 5 201300:41Maynor puts up very low-end line vs. CHA
Eric Maynor scored 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting (no threes) with two rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Bobcats.
Maynor had a career-high 12 assists on Saturday and if he can play even average basketball for his skill-set he should get consistent minutes like this on most nights. With the wing corps banged up, too, it's not a stretch to see him taking a larger role if those guys get hurt. Add it all up and there's not enough meat to the bone in standard leagues, but in a deeper format he'll be worth a look.

Sun Mar 3 201311:01Blazers run to victory w/ smaller lineups
Terry Stotts said that he felt the Blazers "ran better" when Eric Maynor played alongside Damian Lillard on Saturday.
Maynor had a career-high 12 assists in 31 minutes on Saturday, including 24 alongside Lillard, though as we noted the Blazers were playing a Raptors lineup that lends itself to smaller lineups. Portland's backup PG should only be a consideration in deep leagues.

Sun Mar 3 201300:32Maynor hands out career-high 12 assists
The Blazers' bench came up huge on Saturday, led by Eric Maynor's seven points and career-high 12 assists.
Maynor played 31 minutes, nearly 24 of which came alongside Damian Lillard (24 points, six rebounds, four assists). Portland has been seeking a spark off the bench all season, and tonight they also got strong games from Victor Claver (10 points in 14 minutes) and Meyers Leonard (12 points, eight rebounds in 21 minutes). Maynor had a grand total of two points in his previous two games, and he's only worth a look for deep-league owners craving assists.

Mon Feb 25 201300:25Eric Maynor plays 15 minutes in Blazers debut
In his season debut for the Trail Blazers, Eric Maynor had two points, one rebound and three assists in 15 minutes vs. the Celtics.
Ronnie Price and Nolan Smith have been underwhelming in the backup PG role this season, and Maynor is a nice upgrade for Portland even though he fell out of favor in OKC. "It seems like he has a high basketball IQ," Terry Stotts said. "I think he'll have a quick learning curve." Deep league owners may perk up their ears at Maynor's new role in Portland, but he's not an asset in standard leagues.

Sat Feb 23 201316:50Eric Maynor will make debut on Sunday
Eric Maynor will be the backup point guard against the Celtics on Sunday.
He's played just 40 minutes in the past 40 days, so the Blazers aren't likely to give him too much leash in his debut. It remains to be seen whether Maynor can return to his pre-ACL tear form, but he's shown that he was once capable of being a backup in the NBA. There's still no reason to pick him up with Damian Lillard leading all point guards in minutes per game this year.
