Tristan Thompson and the Cleveland Cavaliers ended an impasse with a signed five-year contract on Thursday. The deal is worth $82 million and is fully guaranteed. No player or team options are included in the contract, which appears to be a massive victory for Thompson.Thompson and the Cavaliers had not been able to end a standoff that started on the first day of free agency in July when it was reported that the sides were close to an agreement. The 24-year-old sought a max contract of five years at $94 million or three years at $53 million, but the Cavs previously would not offer more than $80 million.Cavs superstar LeBron James urged the team to re-sign Thompson throughout the summer and into the preseason, saying the situation was a distraction to the team. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are proceeding cautiously with James after he received an anti-inflammatory injection in his back last week. The 30-year-old James has not participated in a full practice since the shot on Oct. 13 and Cleveland... [More]
Thu Sep 17 201509:09Crawford has signed non-guaranteed contract with Bulls
Crawford has signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Bulls, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Crawford last suited up in an NBA game during the 2013-14 campaign, instead logging an injury-shortened stint in the Chinese Basketball Association and six more games with Fort Wayne of the D-League. This summer, he suited up for the Mavericks in the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 10.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 steals in 25 minutes. His shooting stroke from three-point range escaped him there, as he knocked down just 3-for-27 en route to 36 percent shooting from the floor. If that trend extends into training camp, he'll likely be hard-pressed to land an extended look with the Bulls.
Thu Jul 23 201511:01Crawford played with Mavericks in Las Vegas Summer League
Crawford played with the Mavericks in the Las Vegas Summer League. He averaged 10.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.2 blocks, and 1.5 steals in 25 minutes per game through six games.
After a solid four year stint in the NBA where he averaged 12.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.7 steals in 25 minutes per game through 257 games, Crawford was neglected a qualifying offer by the Warriors for the 2014-15 season. He signed with the Xingiang Flying Tigers in China for the season, and played five games with them before succumbing to an eye infection, which ultimately led to his release from the team and a return to America. In the D-League last season, Crawford averaged 24.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.2 steals in 38 minutes per game through 14 games. He will most likely be invited to training camp, and could end up being signed for next season.
Thu Sep 18 201411:27Crawford has signed with Xingiang Flying Tigers in China
Crawford has signed with the Xingiang Flying Tigers in China, NBC Sports reports.
Crawford began last season with the Celtics, where he flourished in a consistent role, averaging 14.2 points and 5.5 assists per game. With his stock up, the struggling Celtics dealt him to Golden State, but his game, and confidence, began to flounder while stuck behind Stephen Curry. He appeared in 42 games for the Warriors, averaging 8.4 points in just 15.7 minutes per game. While Crawford drew considerable NBA interest this summer, he'll head to China where he'll step into a featured role.
Tue Jul 8 201422:08Warriors may sign-trade Jordan Crawford
Given that the Warriors have a plethora of guards, they're said to be willing to help free agent Jordan Crawford find a new team with a sign-and-trade, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Nothing could be better for Crawford's playing time and fantasy value than getting out of Golden State. There are just too many guards in front of him and even if a sign-and-trade doesn't happen, Crawford's an unrestricted free agent and will almost certainly end up in a better situation this season. He's receiving interest from the Bulls, Mavs, Lakers, Knicks and Nets, according to Yahoo's sources.

Mon Jun 30 201420:29Warriors will not extend QA to Crawford
The Warriors will not give Jordan Crawford a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Crawford can still be brought back to the team but they want to keep their cap situation as clean as possible in the meantime. He showed his typical array of offensive-minded basketball during his time in Golden State.

Thu Apr 17 201401:37Jordan Crawford drops career-high 41
Jordan Crawford scored a career-high 41 points along with five rebounds, two assists and a steal in Wednesday's win over the Nuggets.
You could see him having a big game with the Warriors resting the regulars, but this was better than any of us could have imagined. Harrison Barnes chipped in with 30, while Randy Foye scored 32 and had 11 assists for the Nuggets in the loss. The Warriors are healthy, with the exception of Andrew Bogut, and ready to take on the Clippers in Round 1 of the playoffs. And that, our friends, is a wrap on the 2013-14 regular season.

Tue Apr 15 201401:46Crawford could see a bump in minutes on Wed
Jordan Crawford scored just three points in seven minutes on Monday, but could see a bump in minutes now that the Warriors have clinched the No. 6 spot in the West.
Mark Jackson said that a lot of guys could rest on Wednesday and Crawford fits the description of a season finale special. He comes with no guarantees, but he fits the profile of a high-upside guy that owners may want to reach for. Steve Blake could also get some extra run, though at his age the Dubs may decide not to run him quite as hard.

Tue Apr 1 201423:46Jordan Crawford scores 19 points
Jordan Crawford scored 19 points in just 16 minutes vs. the Mavericks on Tuesday with four boards and five 3-pointers on seven attempts from beyond the arc.
He's had some major issues from downtown in his time with the Warriors, making just 28.6 percent from that range in his previous 33 games. Crawford's explosion was nice to see, but only logging 16 minutes doesn't really help his case as a pickup.

Wed Mar 12 201401:21Jordan Crawford helps Warriors crush Mavs
Jordan Crawford caught fire in the second quarter and had 19 points, one rebound, two assists and three 3-pointes in Tuesday's blowout win over the Mavericks.
He hit 8-of-12 shots and played 22 minutes, as Stephen Curry took it easy on his calf injury tonight. Part of the reason Curry wasn't needed was Crawford's big game, as the Warriors were able to crush the Mavericks without even running Curry big minutes. Crawford would become relevant if Curry were to miss games, but it sounds like Curry's a go against the Clippers on Wednesday night, so don't expect Crawford to do this again any time soon, unless Curry actually takes a night off. This was easily his best scoring night as a Warrior, so just leave him on waivers for now.

Wed Mar 5 201423:24Jordan Crawford scores 15 in blowout
Jordan Crawford hit 7-of-12 shots and a 3-pointer for 15 points in just 19 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.
Steph Curry left early with a leg injury and the Celtics laid down for this one. In other words, Crawford got some garbage time and lit it up in limited minutes, meaning you can continue to ignore him, as long as Curry's injury isn't serious.
