CLEVELAND -- Point guard Eric Bledsoe will soon be playing alongside the NBA's leading scorer, who is only 22 years-old to boot. All it took was one Tweet. The Milwaukee Bucks acquired Bledsoe from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for injured center Greg Monroe and protected 2018 first and second-round picks on Tuesday.Bledsoe will not join the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo for tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they are hopeful to have him Nov. 10 at San Antonio. He was sent home by Suns GM Ryan McDonough on Oct. 23, one day after the 27-year-old tweeted, "I don't wanna be here." Bledsoe was fined $10,000 by the NBA."Hopefully it helps us," Bucks coach Jason Kidd said. "I think we're excited. Eric's excited. On the other side of that coin, Moose (Monroe) did everything we asked him to help us win, from being a starter to being asked to go to the bench and help us have a stronger bench, so again I wish him the best because he did everything we asked."In a news release, Bucks general manager Jon Horst said Bledsoe "is a dynamic player who brings scoring and toughness to the court while enhancing our young and talented core."Bledsoe is averaging 15.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games for the Suns this season -- his fifth with the team. He is entering his eighth NBA season and owns career averages of 13.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists. Bledsoe would join a Bucks' backcourt with 2016-17 Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, and forward Antetokounmpo, who entered play Tuesday leading the NBA in scoring at 31.0 points per game. Milwaukee (4-5) has lost its last three and is only a half-game ahead of the struggling Cavs (4-6)."He adds a veteran point guard, a guy who plays with pace and can get into the paint, can make the right play," Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said of Bledsoe. "He's been on the cusp of being an All-Star the last three years. He brings a different dimension to their team. He can shoot the basketball, get in the paint, run pick-and-roll and he's a good defender also. It's a good pickup for them."Asked if the acquisition of Bledsoe makes Milwaukee a formidable threat in the East, Lue said "it definitely makes them better, yes." Monroe is averaging 6.8 points and 5.0 rebounds in five games this season. He has missed the last four with a strained left calf muscle. The 27-year-old is averaging 14.0 points and 8.7 rebounds in 543 career contests with Detroit and Milwaukee since being selected by the Pistons with the seventh overall pick of the 2010 draft.
